Hey Fellas, had some cams reworked for my 308, and when I got them back, the distributor drive ends were removed. The drives and the retaining "pins" were in a small ziplock. The problem I have now is that the pins are beat from removal, and I'm not going chance re useing them. Have any of you been down this road? And if so, we're you able to find a supplier for new pins? Thanks for any help with this.
    -Dave.

imho: First call is to Maranello Concessionaires in the UK. Absolute wizards for these bits. I did go thru this ~25+ yrs ago. Good time to take care of the service bulletin, if your cam drives go thru. The SB is to install a plug, and IIRC it gives the dim's for the aluminum slug you start with. It takes the oil pressure off of the distrib O-rings. Be patient. Cars are older, and parts are a bit more scarce, but you could have these made by a competent machine shop if you get stuck. Maybe the place that helped on the cams can help?

Great news! I was able to find a pair of these pins through Daniel at Ricambi, and they're on route!

2 Dinos, thanks for your input here. I've just located and purchased a pair of the pins Stateside, but the info on the Service Bulletin regarding the aluminum cam plugs is very interesting. So far, I haven't been able to locate that particular bulletin. Maybe someone can chime in if they know of it, and can share it with us.
    Much thanks, Dave.

2 little aluminum plugs. Guessing 1100 series as they broached into the distrib drives. I had an aircraft development machinist help me install. I recall he used a large gear driven press and really leaned on it to drive them in. Then had to re-drill hole for pin, then set pin. I believe this was done from factory on cars after sn???? I'm not certain, but I recall a service bulletin 'cause I like to hold to Ferrari engineering.

Here's a copy of the F technical information on the added distributor coupling Aluminum "plug" (but I believe that it only applies to the carbed 2 valves that have a hollow distributor coupling - on the i-2V, the solid rotor mount itself acts as the "plug"):

That makes sense as an update. The dual dizzy GT4 didn't have this, but by the time the GTS were being made, they did. The fog clears a little more. Reduces the leak paths from the distrib O-ring, and cam drooling when doing any distrib servicing. I also recall putting a little wicking grade LOCTITE on that area after install for added insurance on sealing.
