Thanks, guys! What's especially nice is that the monocoque is entirely one piece. Frame, body shell, gas tank and air intake tubes are all seamlessly combined. One outer shell is cut out of exactly one scroll of carbon fiber. No pieces added. The front suspension push rod and damper/spring runs through the monocoque where the front spring meets the rear spring. The tunnel for the front spring and push rod will be covered with plexiglass.
Here's a picture of the full scale clay model to better understand the bodyshape without the glossy paint. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I gotta hand it to you. Because I start riding 60s Triumphs (I know, I know, I'm a masochist), I don't care for any of the modern designs, including Ducati. To me, they all look like angry Japanese insects. But this? Wow. There is no doubt it is European. I love smooth lines and curves. But, yet, this is clearly one of the most innovative designs I have ever seen. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Thank you for your kind words. I don't like most of the modern bikes as well. But modern materials and innovative chassis and suspension solutions can not be denied and so we came up with this. A modern classic. I hope it ages well. It's now one of the lightest road bikes available (175kg) and tests yet need to prove if it's fast on the track.
You betcha. You got the tank right. (But the cutout for the shock is stunning!) And the seat, lord have mercy.

My first street bike - an OSSA Wildfire 250. Was given to me by a good friend of my father back in 1977 and to be clear, recent pic and yes I still own it! -mick Image Unavailable, Please Login
I love the old 2-stoke Spanish and Italian motorcycles. Every now and then, I look at them on eBay; but, wow, prices have gone up, huh? My first motorcycle was Rapido! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Earlier this year I traded some motorcycle parts for an '89 Thunderbird Super Coupe. The plan was to make it into a cool daily driver for me, but more though brought me to the conclusion I really need a four-door. So I advertised the 'bird on Craigslist and ended up trading it for an '06 Honda Shadow Spirit 750. Today, I was working on my Jeep when a storm blew in. With no time to clear the garage for the bike, I put it in our living room. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've had a few, Fireblade, GSXR, ZXR's but have not owned a road bike in about 10 years. Came close to an 1199 Panigale but I found out they were 10k dearer in Oz than in the U.S. when our dollar was same value as U.S. so I couldn't do it. I've always felt more at home playin in the dirt, must have owned twenty CR's through the years. It will only ever be two strokes for me. I'm now on my second Service Honda 500af. If you've got the skills (and the cojones) nothing is quicker in the dirt. I go alright but can never be as fit as I need to be. They are made in Indiana and we shipped it to Oz in pieces. Great fun putting it together, getting to know her intimately. Rewarding, but man she will bite you and hurt you if you let her. CR500 is one of my dream bikes. But like you, I don't think I'll ever have the fitness level again to do it justice.
