Packing up to do the Testarossa run to Montreal for the long weekend with my wife around 2am. I want to do it without pit stop and bring my espresso machine. My fuse box is original and all wires and fuses checked and cleaned and cleared for take off - will this machine effect my fuse box during the drive? Yes or no ?

The espresso machine doesn't say how many amps. I figured it can't draw more than 10-15 amps ? The lighter in the TR is a 15amp fuse, you think it will pop?

I wanted to pull a non pitstop like "Goggles Pisano" in his roccararri.

Rick you are going to the Fiat breakout? Have fun and enjoy your trip. The fuse may not pop but the connector will melt ;) Seriously a espresso machine in the car! You'll be on Dante street in little Italy espresso are everywhere.

Let us know how any you drank on the trip.

There must be a fuse in the adapter tip, look what size it is. Put a 10 amp and you should be safe.

put 2 additional wires ( 2,5 mm², one for plus and one for minus, but minus you also could get from the frame somewhere ) diretcly from the battery over a separate fuse to the machine. then you are sure you have your coffee and your fusebox will not melt

If the machine pulls more than 15 amps the fuse should pop and protect the wiring. I suspect there is more than just the lighter on that circuit so I would suspect you will have less than 15 amps available. I also just recommend pulling two larger gauge wires one from the battery and one for a ground to power it. You can buy a splitter at Walmart that takes one plug and makes two, cut off one of the sockets and splice it to the wires you just pulled. Pretty simple if it is that important to you. I'm just glad I don't drink coffee.

Replace the Fillet Mignon with the Festive Special? You may as well be a hobo.

Bold statement saying "if used to the instructions it will last forever". Do the instructions say leave it in the box and never use it?

Claude, stayed in old Montreal - I tested the unit in my wife's car before we left. I used warm/hot water from the tap and it worked like a charm. We had a cup each both ways. Three things I learned most was, I really hate driving at night now, i need to get rid of the borla and put the original exhaust back on, and finally I didn't realize 5 cassette tapes in the glove box was not nearly enough music for the trip. This mornings cup was better, she used a little more water, and used a cream package to dilute it :)

Had to make one pit stop just before Cornwall, not because of my bladder or prostate, but because the car was getting thirsty :)

This is a hilarious thread but I have just one thing to say.

If you try to drink or eat in my car. I will kill you. In fact, I will rip off your arms for just suggesting it.

    Just sayin.
