I have a 360 ('03) low beam headlight that burned out, replaced the bulb, and still won't operate. The fuse looks normal. I assume the culprit is the headlight control module? Doesn't seem like this would be a normal failure. Maybe something else?

At any rate, has anyone removed the headlight control module (part 185554) through the wheel well without removing the headlight assembly? From the pictures I've seen, it looks like it might be possible with only one screw on the little bracket.

    ...and a follow up:

Since the OEM module is $2k, has anyone used the Hella AGT-D2-BLST?

It seems like the Ferrari 360 model is Hella 5DV 007 760-09 and it looks awfully close to the much cheaper 5DV 007 760-01. The question is if the boot is the same size... because it looks like its the same shape.

Still not sure if I can reach that thing without a front end disassembly

Last bump before I start removing things - anyone know about access?

Yep, access is just fine. I replaced mine last weekend.

turn the wheel to full lock, remove the access cover (2 x bolts) reach in with a long handled cross-head screwdriver and undo the bracket.

Withdraw the whole assembly out through the wheelwell.

    A couple of points...

On my car, the bracket screw was stupidly tight, you will need leverage so either a long handled driver or a ratchet.

The much cheaper part will work just fine (As a temporary test I actually bought a used item from a GM car for £20 on ebay) but the boot will be different.
You'll need to slice the original boot off the broken ballast and use it on the replacement... a small price to pay for a near-on £1k saving!
