I believe F1 2009 was a typo on the PPG paint code sticker (mentioned on a previous thread I seem to remember). F1 cars in 2009 were flat colour again I understand with the 3 layer colour only being used in 2007 and 2008. PPG code on mine shows 'Nuovo Rosso Formula 1', build sheet shows 'Nuovo Rosso F1 2007' and I've also seen PPG of 'Nuovo Rosso Scuderia'. I have also seen 'Formula' spelt incorrectly on the PPG sticker so typos are common!

    Beautiful.

Question. I just bought a 2013 458 in Rosso Maranello. I read somewhere that the cars benefit from a paint "correction" by a detailer even as they come from the factory. Has this been anyone's experience here?

Congratulations on your purchase! I'm always amazed by the results achieved by a top notch detailer. I have no personal experience as I live in a small town. Keep us posted if you decide to go that route!

I see you can download the pictures..so a better pic of F1 2007 on the production line, can see the orange hue in it, and the brightness to it bit better

How does the F1 color compare to Fuoco? They look very similar.

Thanks. The 458 is amazing. Nothing like my 991 Carrera S.

I found a bunch of informative threads here on paint correction and clear bras. Great resource for owners.

I went through the process. I HIGHLY Highly suggest it from a qualified technician. Then, wrap the car 100% with XPEL Ultimate to keep the mirror finish.

I had a guy named Osama Syed do mine - www.aestheticdetail.com. My car on his website is the 2015 458 Italia.

Ferrari's are good looking from the factory but NOT beautiful, NOT works of art. they are only 80% the level they could and should be. You need a trained paint correction detail specialist to bring out the additional 20%. Don't take my word for it...look at the websites below.

I went through the process and I HIGHLY Highly suggest it from a qualified technician. Then, wrap the car 100% with XPEL Ultimate to keep the mirror finish. Let me repeat, then wrap the car 100%. However careful you THINK you are...you aren't. your cotton towels, road rocks, etc. will mar the mirror finish.

This is a process, not an overnight thing. take your time and you will be very happy, like me. My car's color is now even more amazing than when I first saw it...

Gorgeous car, boogie. I wouldn't let anyone touch my paint. It's not worth the risk of damaging the paint - which sometimes happens when people try to buff the clear coat.

I have Nero Daytona on my 458. I like the paint because it's a badazz color and always looks a little dusty no matter how clean it is. Some will disagree with me, but I think Ferrari paint is beautiful right from the factory. It needs nothing extra.

Congratulations on the car. Have fun!

Nice pic of the wing mirror which really shows the richness of the colour of F1 Rosso....
