I cant help but to see some flame surfacing on this and the new FF. Was Bangle just too ahead of his time?
Sutcliffe test drives a DB1 prototype: (he uses "lovely" enough to make we worry): [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weMIPk7wWTs[/ame]
Interesting features, I suspect it will be more distinct from the next vantage than the current DB9/Vantage pair. My wife's favourite aspect of current AM cars is the flip up spoiler, while the DB 11 goes to great lengths to eliminate it. If I were to guess, this is a part of eliminating the "russian doll" syndrome that can be seen in the current lineup. Since AM arguably has the best looking lineup in the automotive business, it never really was all that big of a deal, mind....
It's more masculine, but to my eye its off. Not as elegant and beautiful as db9. Seems too high off the ground or something. The back and front don't match up? I'm not totally sure why I don't like it I just know it's not working for me. The Vanquish looks 10x better.
I like the Vanquish better myself...not a fan of the fender vent continuing into the front wheel opening on the DB11 for starters. And I like the look of a flip up spoiler as well. I do think it is a good effort in moving the "Aston" styling forward to something new though, as many others believe what we like to be dated. It will be interesting to see what the convertible version looks like...

The problem is the roof looks like a removable hardtop with that weird black trim line just above the belt line, and the roof "blades" in different colors. IMO the car is significantly improved by having body colored roof and roof blades. it's still not as pretty as the DB9/DBS/Vanquish. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
