Fair point. I remember reading here somewhere that the car at Artcurial was a good one... wnated to see what it would go for.

No, and neither did the S4 prototype. The 037 got to 400k and the S4 to 280k. Don't know about the Fulvia. Seems like a very disappointing auction...

Sellers/consigners are still dreaming (they are still in late 2014...). The party is over, one hundred percent.
If you wanna do business come down to earth.

I think it'll be good if we transition to a more normal market where people can take their time to pick what they like and can afford. In a frenzied market there is a pressure to get whatever is out there now so you don't miss the boat and that's just not healthy...

Cummon, that car is RIP as the kids say. Get me the hairshirt and trucker cap. LOL.

Interesting times when 8 SWB are on the market, thats roughly 5% of the production run. They could all sell if the vendors got reasonable with asking prices but that's no doubt complicated by cost of purchase, financing and above all else vendors egos. Glut anyone?

The Ferari sell ratio was awful! How many bad auctions in a row is that now?

There are a few things wrong with this statement. Perhaps it holds for the Ferrari and Porsche markets at that event, as what I am reading in the auction result is a different taste away from sportscars. And that makes sense imho considering the venue. Porsches are just a bit too plentiful and you become aware there of what other very nice classics exist. Many what I consider in the to be "interesting","classy", "down to earth" categories of cars have met or even exceeded even the high reserves in that auction, sometimes even by quite the margin.
    Very interesting.
