    If you pass on the Van Nuy example, there's a similar '12 Nero Daytona Metallic over Nero leather / aluminum accents FF at Ferrari of Atlanta with 7,xxx miles listed at $195K. Grigio diamond stitching on roof / seats. Elegant example that I seriously considered purchasing. Best of luck with your search.

    I'm in the same place as "JHC" w/regards to buying an FF -- watching numbers drop on the FF and interested in having one for my Rocky Mtn lifestyle. Obviously the #'s are starting to look good at the $170k level (been tracking for 8 months), but imo it's going further south (and I can/will wait). That said, it seems like there are some issues w/this car's set-up (twin diff. etc.) on the response here and in private. ...Personally, crossing over from what you guys call the "dark-side" (pcars) it seems to me like most of these threads contain guys who've bought one or two of these FFs and suggest buying the extended warranty -- Sorry, but I'm not familiar with that mindset over in rennsport-land ...I won't slice too deep as I'm asking advise in a Ferrari chat FF forum ...and before you trolls awaken pls consider, I did just make the pilgrimage to Maranello to do the "owner's tour" last Thursday -- so, yes, I've already paid the buy-in to ask blunt questions on a Ferrari FF forum (btw, fortunately that tour was my Honey's highlight of that Italy trip). ...Anyhow, if the FF is reliable, I want to buy one and drive it back and forth between home and X -- in the snow over high passes (...w/stupid stop&go traffic at times). -- Can it be done w/aplomb? ...And if so, seriously, how may shop hours do I need to set aside to make an FF a true daily driver? (my local dealer would be 2+hr away) -- Also, is the premium worth it to buy a '14 vs a '12 -- And why?

    I can't see prices dropping to say $130k any time soon. Only high supply and low to no demand would do that. Perhaps I'm wrong.

    The storyline is that they added about $15k worth of options as standard from model year '13 onward. Other than that, any premium you're seeing on equally optioned (assume similar miles) between a '14 and a '12 is fluff for the most part. Ok, there might be a few months of warranty left on a '14 and certainly 2 additional years of maintenance (over a '12) is worth something ($2k?). The other thing to consider is if you really want a Pano roof, those were only available from MY13.

    Here's what I can tell you: I've been collecting Porsches since 1988 in a serious way. I own and have driven every important homologation and pure street car Stuttgart has built from the 80's forward (meaning I have a lot of very expensive factory cars to compare this to). My daily driver, and my wife's, have been Rover's - call it about two dozen now. I got bored with mine (finally) and bought a new FF a few weeks ago. After 275 miles, I can report that it has been to the dealer twice. The built quality for a $350,000 car (the MSRP on mine) is a disgrace. How any of you Fchat members tolerate this, I have no idea. Compared to the cars Porsche builds (in terms of attention to detail and everything being right on day one), the Ferrari is a second world car. However, the smell of the interior and the sound of the big 12 - unique and a bit intoxicating.

    I haven't been able to drive the car enough to say any more than this, but my guess today is that I'll play with it for a few months and sell it with 1-2,000 miles on it. I just don't trust it enough to put snow tires on it and daily drive it through a Detroit winter. Maybe I'll change my mind....

    1. Driver's seat (fully electric) moved forward to the end of the track, on its own, as soon as I sat in it every time and wouldn't budge;

    2. Two interior trim pieces fell off without the car being moved;

    These all from delivery with 53 miles on it.

    Thanks! Would be interested in your impressions after you've had some additional seat time. I'm similarly intoxicated by the V12 and the interior....

    I also have a 2015. I've put 12,000 miles on it so far and it's been through 2 Colorado winters going up and down I70 to Vail and back. I haven't had a single problem. The car has been rock solid.

    I've also owned my share of Porsche's. A 996, 996TT, 996 GT2, 997TT, 2 Cayenne's, a Macan, and a Panamera GTS. Porsche build quality is excellent but I find them so boring when compared to the FF.

    Glad you've enjoyed your FF so much. Fantastic car.

    My Porsche sits a lot. Too many great memories to sell it, but given the choice, I almost always grab Ferrari keys. Funny, that.

    That's worrisome, especially if there is no dealership or indy nearby. Well at least the problems are not mechanical and the car is still driveable. However, I guess I will need to also seriously consider the upcoming Panamera shooting brake, then.

    Ferrari traditionally has some niggles that most people would be annoyed by, it's part of the ... "charm"? If you start to go over the body panel gaps you will find things too.

    However, once that gets worked out you can really begin to enjoy the car. It would be a bit tyrannical to just say it's junk and bail without getting into the day to day in sun, rain, snow, etc.

    Don't give up just yet. Raise hell with the dealer and get another year of warranty for your troubles if things persist. Ferrari is another level of car, but not in these little details.

    Porsche tends to attract perfectionists. Composed cars. Ferrari attracts the passionate driver. Which are you?

    I have done just about 7k miles in 7 months in mine... Has been pretty much flawless, at 11,500 now and I drive the **** out of it

    I think the build quality is actually amazing when compared to other dailys/supercars ive had

    Everyone will have a diff experience and no two cars are exactly the same

    I have no creaks or rattles, its extremely well built and solid.
