    What a lovely collection. This reminds me of the (now quite rare) Maranello Concessionaires 'schoolboy brochure' and the beginning of my love affair!

    At 15 years of age, I remember being invited on to the Earl's Court stand and encouraged to sit in the display cars. I shall always remember that smell! I wonder how many boys went on to become owners though a few moments of kindness by the enthusiasts manning the stand.

    A couple of years later I was often shepearded into the deep corners of the workshop to see a 500SF, GTO or one of Maranello's famous competition cards.

    Nowadays, despite having a couple of Ferraris, the modern salesmen are disinterested in anyone not owning an F40, F50, Enzo AND La Ferrari.

    I second that about Bob Zambelli. One of the neatest Ferrari guys you will meet. I don't know anyone who has driven a vintage Ferrari or Alfa and continues to do so like Bob.

    A little background on this picture. This setting involves one of the events we do, and is staged around the Colonial Cup in Camden, SC. This is on the grounds of the Marion DuPont Scott home, and this is considered to be one of the oldest Magnolia Trees in the South. A fitting setting for the GTC!

    Nicely done. Happy to give you a ride if you are in the area when I am. I have a cobalt also - in the Sunnyside marina! Lake was pretty windy last few days, so drove around in the 330 instead. :)

    The original colour was azzuro metallizzato, so azzuro Cakifornia is no more correct that the current colour.

    I am very keen on mechanical originatily but some early buyers selected some poor colour combinations - not including azzuo, which is rather nice - and I am not sure that we should feel obliged to stick to the original. Surely, period correct is more appropriate.

    Your thoughts please?
