While looking in my engine bay this weekend, I noticed that I've got some krinkle paint flaking off the valve covers in a few spots. While i've searched old threads on this topic (and there are some), they're kind of old. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to touch up spots so at least it's a close match to what's there? What is the standard color used on those valve covers (rosa corsa?) Alternatively, has anyone had their dealer service department fix this for them as I'm not a huge DIY type of guy? I don't want to make a federal case over this; a touch up would be fine vs. having the parts removed/stripped/fully resprayed. Recommendations please....

'Could buy a can VHT wrinkle paint (from your local parts store) and do a "spray-out" on a non-porous surface to see if the color is close. https://www.amazon.com/Duplicolor-High-Paint-Wrinkle-SP204/dp/B0082LKRHU

...maybe it's time to be a DIY kind of guy.

I think you are referring to the air plenum cover, not the valve cover.

Don't do this. VHT is the Wrong color and texture I tried it.

My recommendation, unless it's a very small area or you are going to enter the car in a concourse competition take off the air plenum cover and have it power coated. You will never have to give it another thought. If it is a small area like a cm or smaller call Frank Zucchi. he is really nice and will mix up some paint for you to do a touch up. He will also paint the plenum if you send it to him. I powder coated mine. Less texture, color is very close, I actually like it better.
