Thanks but the engine number is correct 75 turbo and matches 15, I guess they didnt care much for authenticity back then. Thanks for update.
Perhaps #0015's engine received updated replacement parts after delivery - very common for early engines...worn-out parts replaced with updated versions since the early parts were no longer produced.
This viper green '77 Turbo 3.0 is 310.000 euros, but it looks much better than the other one that will be auctioned. Erik
15 Dec 75, Auto Sprint magazine. Note the black trim rings on the Bosch H4s and nice detail of the transmission oil cooler mounted in place of the A/C condenser in a standard 3-liter Turbo A/C tail. Fred - is this the 1975 Turbo? Looks like it has 9Jx 8Jx 15 Fuchs. Gallery: the achingly cool cars from the Le Mans Classic | Top Gear Image Unavailable, Please Login
No this is a 78 turbo. Funny that is is number 24 on your photo as the 75 at le Mans this year. This is a an old photo (2014) of the 75 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
There is something strange as I Check à video where number 24 is the car you show This car appears on other'photos of other races with same registration and as a 78. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Last picture is a US 1976 930 Turbo Carrera which was recently bought by someone and they are having some work done by Ed at Kunden Sport where my car is. Seems awfully rare to have a Euro and US Emerald Green 930 just feet apart from one another. My original cinnamon leather seats cleaned up. The lenses on my car will be changed to original euro for the technical guys here... Great pics. Great color, great car. This one embodies for me all that I like about the 3.0 Turbos. An inspiration for my project. Tnx for sharing! Erik
I found this early 930 engine case with mysterious numbers. It is dated 45/75, so week 45 in 1975. The rest is a mystery to me. No 930/50 but '911' and '417' Probably a fantasy number, but I hope I'm wrong. Erik Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Amazing and that auction site had some really special automotive reading material. I could spend hours at the auction just browsing the lots. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The May 2016 auction had very nice 75 and 76 press kits. The 1975 press kit included a Bilstein photo of a 75 Turbo (lower right) that I had not seen before. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The ad on Pelican is obviously a scam. Here is the car below. The pics were pulled from Ebay. Last time I spoke to the owner, he wanted North of 200K 1976 Porsche 930 Carrera Turbo | eBay
Has this one been discussed here? https://www.rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/MO16/Monterey/lots/r122-1977-porsche-911-turbo-carrera/295903
The No. 24 car does appear to have 15 inch Fuchs and the Sports Car Digest photo gallery caption is "930 Turbo 1975". However, it does have a 3.3 liter tail fitted. The classification list (no. 43 for no. 24 entry - link below) also shows a 1975 930 Turbo - J. Piquet / A. Triniane. It would be nice to know the chassis # of this car.
