I need those as well - please advise, and I'll compensate accordingly.

Hey Jeff....we need longer ones for the SS rear lights from what I can tell. I've just never seen any in person. They need to be about an inch longer....the size of the spacer. It's an educated guess...would be great to see what a SS car has....

If you cannot find original studs, they can easily be made out of an M5 threaded rod. Cut to length and position a nut, with some epoxy on the threads. You can then tap M5 thread in the plastic socket (as it appears to be smaller) and screw the stud in. To anchor it better in the plastic, you can also put some epoxy there.

Yep..that was my plan... and correct..it's an M5. I get the finger ease of the plastic ends..but to leave them open.. that just opens them up to corrosion

Mine's a TS, I have 4 residue bolts from a broken light cluster, two straight and two not so.
However they are 5cm long and not 7cm

7cm for a SS is about 1" longer than the 5cm ones that apparently come on a stock car....which makes sense...the spacers for the SS cars are 1" longer to pop out the tail lights. This was a piece of the puzzle that I was trying to figure out. Looks like the factory used different hardware on the SS lights. Wonder if they carry a different part number or they were just a change made to the lights all 348s have...made as needed based on how many SS kits they were putting together.

Did you ever measure the ones you have Desmomini?

I'm OCD'ing over really stupid stuff with these lights.

Lol... i feel you. Daniel (ricambi) said the lights were supplied by Carello. Maybe a lead could be found that way but i havent been successful Google'ing that.

I just want to replace the ones i cut.

Did you cut yours to remove them?

I had no choice but to cut 2 of them. They were weather corroded to the nuts inside the plastic washers and i couldn't get the cover off to replace a bulb.

Luckily i was able to back them out enough to get a set of small bolt cutters between the cover and the frame to cut them.

Did you take out the light assemblies? You wouldn't happen to have pictures of the end cap pieces, would you?

I considered making a small threaded coupler that I could use to join the studs with some M5 threaded rod...would be nice for the kit I'm building.

The M5 threaded rod actually fits really nicely into the existing holes....with some epoxy on them, they won't go anywhere.

Cool. I'll PM you my contact info. This will be a HUGE help since we're getting ready to build these pieces for the kit we're doing....

    Can't wait to see them...

You might want to look at something called an AVK INSERT. These are threaded inserts fitted something like a pop rivit. You could drill out the plastic and either bond 1 in or use the supplied tool and crimp it in. They come in 4, 5 6, and 8 mm internal threads

Thought about nutserts....not sure they would have the depth I need to put 2 pieces together. Probably just as easy to make stud kit....for my application at least.

AVK inserts give u about 6 threads deep, they look like a top hat with a rim on 1 end

I'm not sure 3 threads is going to do it. It would be easier to take some aluminum dowel, drill it(if necessary) and tap it....then you could make it as long as you wanted. Probably best off just making new ones.
