On the old forums I already made a thread about the upcoming Cavallino Classic, but since it's not active anymore I decided to make a new one. Does anyone know which cars are going to be over there, I'm particularly interested in the 330 P4 and 312 P. Those are on my top must-see list and knowing those would be there would make my decision making much easier!
There is usually a large cross section of Ferraris at Cavallino each year including 330s and 312s. Much depends on what Barnett-Jackson and Bonhams brings to be auctioned, etc. The star of the show this year was the former Penske Racing 512-M in Sunoco blue. Basically, you show up and see what is there. The event is always well attended and there is usually something you've never seen before, definately worth the trip and hopefully this year there wont be any lunch/restrauant nonsense. BHW
for prices for the Cavallino event go to a recent issue of Cavallino Magazine. Its not cheap! The best things to go to are the track day at Moroso; usually a Friday and the concours on Saturday. For 2004 the featured car will be the Testarossa.
Yikes... Dont forget if you want to park at the Breakers, they get $20.00. Best to park in the bank parking lot a couple blocks away. BHW
I never parked at the Breakers and paid They have a Ferrari section that will allow you to park for free if you come in time. Hey they want to see your cars. Cavallino is a must see if you live in this SE region. I'd say it is Pebble Beach for the West Coast and now NO Concourse for the South and East Coast has Cavallino Classic. Truely a great event and great cars. A must see and must be!
So, it is open to the public then, with a $40 entrance fee for the concours - is this correct? Thanks My first Ferrarichat post! I've been lurking here for about a year, but now that I just moved to South Florida, I'm really interested in checking out the Cavallino Classic. BTW, was driving on Pembroke Rd. in Hollywood today and saw a red 550 Barchetta that turned to get onto I-95 South. Looked like a gentleman driving around with his son. Anybody here?
The 550 probably came from my mechnaic on Pembroke. Murry Bacchus. 3837 Pembroke Rd. Cavallino is open ot the public. Yes they will charge you $40 to look around but in all honesty it is worth it.
FYI..several of us got together last year and had lunch during the Cavallino event on Saturday at a local restaurant just 1 block away from The Breakers. More fun and less stuffy. We plan on doing it again this year. As we get closer to the date we can get ahead count and set up a time for everyone to meet. Anyone up for this?
Not sure if I am comming this year so I will let Paul and Martin set up the the Lunch event and will offer my help. Better get started. Paul Sloan Scuderia Sarasota
OK Paul. Let me know if anyone is interested. I can make the arrangements. If I remember correctly, for 2003, we ordered what we wanted and paid separately?
same this year. I can not afford another bill like the Miami GP bill I split with David C in September. I rather buy an Enzo.
Hi All. I'm Alicia from Cavallino magazine and the Cavallino Classic. If you need any information about the upcoming Palm Beach Cavallino Classic 13 (January 20-25), please give our office a call at 561-994-1345 and we will be happy to help you with registration, etc. All events need a ticket entrance. Any food event, including the yacht hop, will need to be preordered by Jan. 14. There is no entrance without a ticket. We have several ways of attending the event, and all portions of the event can be purchased on an individual basis (example, if you only want the yacht hop, the cost is $125 for the yacht party/dinner). You do not have to sign up for the entire event if you are not putting a car into the event. We expect approximatley 400 Ferraris throughout the week, so hope you can make it. Again, we will be happy to help you with your plans. You can also see a review of last year's event at www.cavallino.com.
Dear Alicia thanks for your information ... But Can you send us the ticket price for each event : Ferraris at Speed at Moroso : $$$ ??? Concorso d'Eleganza at The Breakers : $$$ ??? Mar-a-Lago, on January 25 : $$$ ??? Thanks Again !!
Moroso is $30 per day Breakers is $ 40 per person (I think, may be $50) MarALargo is $ 150 per person. Quite expensive. Breakers is a must though. We will arrange a get together at a local restaurant at noon for lunch. So don't get the box lunch there. Besides it is quite pittyful to call that a lunch for $25. (sandwich a yogurt and a fruit in a plastic bag) They keep on doing it every year though, again and again.
