Good Question. I haven't but I have have had a car of this complexity trimmed and just the number of hides would be about 7. Plus Plus. Here is Australia you would pay around 20K plus to have it done including the hides. Dying the leather from Light to dark is doable but using a die not a paint. Companies like Leatherique, Home Page | Leatherique Restoration Products offer a service you can do yourself. Their products and service here in Australia are excellent.

John, I remember researching this issue about a year ago. Did it originally to explore putting Daytona seats in a car. If I recall, it was about $5-6K from a breaker. I'll see if I kept the e-mail. If so, I'll forward it.
I can't believe I have missed this thread till now. A few personal reflections for those that are interested. I first saw the 456 at the Melbourne Motor Show when first launched. I walked round and round it. I was amazed as to how much it reminded me of a modernized interpretation of the 365 GTC/4 - a car I had owned since 83 and still have. I preferred the C/4 shape then and still prefer the shape now though I very much like the 456. I purchased a manual 456 a few years ago and think it is a wonderful multiskilled car. A "Toyotarized", bigger, faster C/4. Very much a Ferrari, very capable and easy to drive. Mine is standard apart from 575 wheels and a bit of paint on the tail lights. What do I prefer to drive. Depends on the day, the company, the event/ purpose and the mood. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Beautiful looking cars Wayne. We are considering doing a road trip in Tasmania in the 456. I raced the targa there this year, and loved the roads! My wife loves Tassie and likes the idea!
The 456 and 575 last week on the GG. My wife was happy I returned her car in one piece. 240kph = 4000 rpm.
Gezim, Let us know when you are coming down - winter is not when Tassie is at its best though. Baskerville Historics is on 1-2 Oct.

Are you logged in? Yes it was the red one. I have tried to contact the owner while it was for sale and he didn't come back to me. I recon around 180.
It's coming up now mate. I was out driving around in my car with my wife today. I'd say your right mate. I'd guess $185. I doubt he would have moved much more.
I don't add the on roads on a private sale, it's a bit like a service item but as the value goes up it does add a sizable amount so maybe I should Its the insurance value of our cars is important as I couldn't get mine over 150K. I may need to have speak to Shannon's again.
