Early FF fires. Issue fixed?

Hi all. As you may have seen my other thread on FF reliability/daily driver duty, my father is looking into getting a one or two year old FF as a daily driver of sorts. He's retired, but does lots of little trips and not a computer/forum person. Anyway, a friend of his commented on FF fires. I never really heard about them on the scale like the early 458's. I Googled it and found a few that had fires. Now, I know any car could have a fire, and in this day and age with everyone having a camera/video phone we just see it more. But the four I found were in Germany, Hong Kong, China and Poland. Three were early on, 2011/2012, one 2014. Was there an issue they fixed, were these just rare cases, any recent issues with fires on FF's?

Same here. Lived in Rockville Center as a kid for many years...my parents relocated out east to the north fork years ago. But they spend winters in Key West.
