his place looks like the McLaren factory. I would have no problem eating off that aside for the fact I'd be dirtying the floor with my food.

From the sublime to the ridiculous SN10062.

    Ferrari 308 308GT4 | eBay

Apparently this car had a "targa" conversion at one time, and also front and rear collision. Also there was some problem "finding the title". Now seller says he has clear title no salvage not rebuilt but he refuses to provide a photo of said title, will only provide evidence of title to successful bidder after the deposit is paid. Also there seems to be more to the mechanical story than meets the eye.

One is basic clean original decent shape. Not a garage show queen, but like a 7 of 10. But, not one that is trashed either. The median example you buy from a dentist in Connecticut who drives it on weekends.

What did these cars go for 5 and 10 years ago?

These cars were of virtually no value 10 years ago. A decent one could be had for $20-25K. Selling one was neigh on impossible.

Prices had gone up to about $35K 5 years ago.

Today...? Seldom see one for sale. I would guess that one could be had for about $50K, but I see ask prices higher.

In my opinion, they should always and probably will always be worth less than a comparable 308 GTS/GTB.

Reasonable GTB/GTS are offered for $70K or less.

    Hope it helps.

    The issue is RUST.

There are few 7 cars because of rust.

First rule of Ferrari ownership, there is no such thing as a cheap Ferrari.

I have been saying for years that the GT4 is the next sleeper. Robert Garvin gets it.
The GT4 value wise will out perform the other 308's in a big way. The much hated body style has come of age.
This is what I thought about the 250PF coupe over 20 years ago. Oh yes.......a lesser Ferrari.

This is where being an ex-Ferrari owner helps. A 308GT4 is a fun little car. But, $50k? Are you kidding me? I can buy a 996 Porsche TT for that kind of money, and the Porsche is a 1,000 times, maybe 10,000 times, better car.

Yep, I'm glad I no longer have red mist in my eyes.

I don't think you can buy a running driving gt4 for under 70K today.

I have been around Ferrari circles for years and I honestly have not seen that many ever pop up for sale.

I think I have seen more Valeo Mondials come up for sale in the last 10 years than clean GT4s!

Always check the hagerty tool. As a gt4 owner I've been following the market. Good cars are now in the 50-60 range. They were being listed higher 6 months back. For a perfect euro I think they are in the 120 range but at that point you're paying for a work of art I'd be scared to drive.

Yes the Porsche is a 'better' car but it's supply and demand. How many 996 TT out there v decent 308 GT4 still running?

Again, the nice thing about being a former owner is I have a much more objective view of cars. A hot-rodded Vette for example is at least 90% of what a F458 is. It comes down to a decision. Is that additional 10%, as sweet as it is, worth $100,000+?

according to Birdman in 1977 only 320 308 GT4's were made and maybe 70 over here, but how many are in good shape. Plus like my poor ol' daddy use to say " you don't want to test drive a Corvette..... someone might see you getting out of it, and think you Owned it".

a Sekio keeps better time than a Rolex, Patek, IWC, but.......... how many brag about the newest time keeper they bought that is only off by one second a year. Not many.

A ferrari you feel like it is a living creature you have to take care of. A Vett you just buy , and you have a plastic feeling car that is fast, but so many made........

But the vett is a ton of car for the money. Just not my style. And that extra 10% is where the magic happens.
