I'll ask Vale the chassis number, but I know its Italy-registered DP.607.SE Here it is again for your viewing pleasure at the 2015 Marco Turci Memorial Historic Motor Festival in Mirandola, Italy As I vaguely recall this Downdraft is a special-order car built for a member of a Royal Family in the Middle East, French Blue (official name I'm not certain) with white leather interior. Thanks for that post Joe. Elliot the owner of the red car and I are in the background of the photo with Elliot on the phone and me on the left. Sadly no one ever confuses us! he is young and good looking and I......... I am hoping to have the QV at the Glasgow ignition festival this weekend and doing circuits around the Scottish Exhibition Centre in front of large crowds. I will try to remember my lack of skill and over confidence! Hopefully there should be lots of photos. Regards Paul
Engine number 1202 is back in the car! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
When our upholster does his best, his work is terrific. Front carpets had Bordeaux piping from new, sorry picture is not great but in person the front pieces are things of utter beauty & wonder. Headliner is all-leather and this is the only Downdraft I have seen this in. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I must say it is absolutely beautiful...a work of art and great example of the brand... I can just imagine how you are getting excited to drive it down the road....the last part is the hardest to wait. I have enjoyed past builds I had done, but the best part and smiles was the first time I drove it down the street...
Roy, Wow. Are you feeling well? A post in one of my one-variant threads that is not sarcastic, baiting or harassing? Well, I'll take it at face value and long may that trend continue. Thank you for the kind words I agree the best part is yet to come. I'm a patient man and I want to make sure its as right as we can make it before I debut this car.
LOL.. We may not always see eye to eye...but I am more then happy to give credit where credit is due....and it truly is due on this example. It would be a car that I would be happy to add to my collection as well....I am happy for you and the fantastic car this is turning out to be...
I can see a lot of nice details I myself applied in 2005, how time passes by... http://www.countach.ch/HeadGasket/Step4/index.html http://www.countach.ch/HeadGasket/Step5/index.html http://www.countach.ch/HeadGasket/Step9/index.html http://www.countach.ch/HeadGasket/Step13/index.html
