The hairpin by the lake, then called Esso Bend but now called Shell Oils.

Wonderful shots, I especially like the boys clowning around on the trailer. Thanks for posting them.

I see Alberto Pedretti in a few of the photos and one of Coco seated in the GTE talking to his father.

Was there any business relationship--formal or otherwise--between Chinetti and Zumbach?

Wonderful photo's. Zumbach garage appears in Ralph Steins the great cars since they were the leading service agent for exotica like Alfa Romeo and Bugatti. Love the F1/ Indy car and you have to wonder what that trailer load of cars would be worth today.

    Thanks for posting.

A collector friend bought a 540K from Zumbach back in the day.

540Ks are very nice. Especially the sporty examples.

These are fantastic! I love old shots of NYC. The F cars look so beautiful compared to the cars parked on the street!

David, you're probably posting from an Apple device, which auto-corrects the position of the photo for your viewing, leaving you unaware that the image is actually stored sideways on your device.

There just something about this picture that calls me to stare at it endlessly. I love Kodachrome because it retains all the vivid colors even after 47 years.
