That is a huge mama jama for the Detroit River or Lake St Clair. I'm not sure where the yacht club is but that has to be one of the biggest private yachts on the Great Lakes.
My youngest running offshore for the first time. It wasn't that bumpy but he was quite proud of himself negotiating the waves that were there. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice rig, looks hike he's really focusing and determined to show you hows it done! Jimmy John Liautaud's US$ 100 million Yacht ROCK.IT. It's amazing!
Had some friends that ran into in St. Barths. He lives large. You can go through a lot when you start peeling it off in chunks that large. The operating budget is probably $12-18M/yr. Through a plane in on top of that and it starts to count up.
Saw this in the Atlantis harbor...Love the set up , that baby must fly with 4x350! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very nice. What kind of boat? There's a couple brands now making the center console/cabin set up. I like that set up a lot.
Troy good question buddy, I really coulndnt tell. It was something to look at from far away as the neon really lit up the whole interior . The GPS flat screens was something else. Really good set up.
Good eye...Could be a cigarette, but no markings at all on the boat. Full paint and of course no way to tell on the rear with those engines.. 350k! Not to mention he probably had at least 50k in rods and reels sitting on the boat..!
That boat is more than $350K. The motors are $75K a pair rigged. The garmin electronics are probably $50K installed. That's $200K and you haven't started on the boat. The 42' whaler above this can bump $1M.
The big center consoles have blown up down here. The guys that use them don't have the time it takes for a big sporty to get to the Bahamas of the fish a lot of the time. But the boats are awesome. Most will do 65+ with a full load.
The center consoles can run 65mph but almost never do in practical situations. . I cross to the Bahamas all the time. In anything more than 3' they have to back off. 3-5' it is very rare to have people running more than 30kts. The pit racing with boats might be even bigger than with sports cars.
Sweet spot cruise on the 420 Outrage is 30-35kts - both comfort and economy. Unless it's just a couple guys, running faster here in New England (most days) just doesnt make sense.
I don't know lots about wooden boats, but I know what I like and IMHO this is to die for...and isn't this a smoking price? Cheers,RE Image Unavailable, Please Login
