After all the post about the 675lt being faster than everything. I though I would through in a monkey. McLaren 675LT vs Lamborghini Huracan at the Drag Strip for some heads up 1/4 Mile Racing | DragTimes.com Drag Racing, Fast Cars, Muscle Cars Blog wrench.
At double the price. Don't get me wrong, it is a beautiful car, but the money I saved, I'm gonna pick up a Hurracan and keep my 650s also,
havent seen a 650s stock im 10.28 sec on the 1/4mile, nor a trap of 142mph Image Unavailable, Please Login
and what is wrong with that, then comparing different drag races on different places and different days... Way to many unknown factor.
factory cars are usually faster. All these cars are seriously fast, but when someone says their 675 is so much faster than a 650 it isn't true.
Who said,'their 675 lt is much faster than the 650s. Mclaren officialy quotes the 675lt in 22.5 sec upt to 300kmh and a trap of 142mph They quote the 650s in 25,6 sec up to 300kmh and a trap of 138mph in the 1/4mile so there is a gap between those 2 cars acording to mclaren. And according to mag tests, tested both cars (different day) a difference as well.
I said my 675 is faster than my 650 and I don't need a magazine to confirm or disprove that for me. I use my cars in ways that I can tell so it's irrelevant to me what tests in different climates result in.
x 2. 675 is definitely faster from behind the wheel. 650S is already extremely fast, but 675LT pulls noticeably harder, at least it did to me.
spot on. Coming from the mp12c to the 675lt, the difference feels big. But never had the 650s, so i cant compaire first hand 650 vs 675lt
You really shouldn't feel a difference when times are so close. I have an 8 sec GTR and yes you would feel a difference from stock when trap speed is a 40 mph difference.
This is correct. However what you do feel is a response or jump from the weight, torque and or gearing differences. The LT is a bit quicker than the 488 but their seat of pants is hard to differentiate. Take it to the track and monitor corner exit speeds vs max speed at braking points etc and you'll see a more reliable difference;-)
To add some fuel to the fire, we have tuned both a stock 650S and 675LT. All numbers below are peak power numbers as read on our Dynojet: 650S Stock: 567.21whp - 448.85 ft-lbs of torque 650S Tuned: 593.63whp - 475.88 ft-lbs of torque 675LT Stock: 582.66whp - 490.31 ft-lbs of torque 675LT Tuned: 629.30whp - 516.48 ft-lbs of torque 675T Tuned + 200 cell HJS Sport Cats: 635.09whp - 526.10 ft-lbs of torque That said, the 675LT feels faster, especially as you reach greater speeds where the engine spends longer times in peak power areas. Both are impressed when uncorked. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
You also have to account for how the car is configured. I weighed 650S spider and it was ~3354 lb full up. 675LT was ~3075 lbs. You would certainly notice nearly 10% less weight with an extra 25 hp. If you ordered a bare bones 650S coupe and the heaviest configured 675LT, sure, the difference would be less obvious. Plus, maybe it was my imagination, but it seems the trans cal in the 675LT is much more aggressive than the 650S.

Both a stock Huracan and 650s went up against each other on the 1/2 mile, and it was a draw. https://youtu.be/rjriWf-Wq3o
