Used 2006 Ferrari F430 For Sale | Calgary AB $600k CAD for a 2006 430 Spider with 45k km at an off brand dealer. But it's got a manual!
For you guys looking at 360 or even 430, forget the $600K manual right away, go and try the Cayman GT4. I just got it last week, and I think this car corners better than 458 spider (I never tried the 458 coupe though). From other reviews I read about 430, it should corner much better than 430, forget the 360. And the power is just nice if you are not trying to chase a GT3. It's something like.....a big-gokart.
Its all relative to the weakness of the good old Canadian Buck.... As long as the import market into Canada, is near the same price point as the local market, sellers will price accordingly. Prices of Ferrari's in Canada will remain at these levels unless there is a global market price adjustment or a vast change in the weakness of our dollar
That has to be a joke... Ferrari of Calgary sold a red on black/red 6spd 2008 F430 Spider with 27k kms for $214 just 6 weeks ago.
I just sold my Ferrari F430 for 5k less than what I paid for it (2 years ago) Gone down the Mclaren 650s route
i have a 2009 Scuderia with only 6000klm it took a major hit when the 458 came out, then it rebound to double within 2 years , Scuderia market now with low klm are going for 375k US if you can find one that about 485k Canadian and still going up i,am glad i kept mine
I'm not commenting on niche models like scuds. There's so few transactions that occurs, it's hard to make any generalizations on the market overall. IMO the values of scuds, CS's etc has almost no bearing on the values for run of the mill 360-430's.
I agree, there are some very attractive alternatives at the price point of a gated 430. Even a mesger engine 911 turbo with a manual is on the same level performance wise, and for about $100k. But of course, Porsche do not have the presence of an f-car. But if it's all about presence, Lambo is the way to go.
True. When you drive Ferrari, many people will look at you. When you drive GT4, nobody looks at you. But that's 458 or 488. I think nobody looks at 360 too nowadays, especially in Vancouver. Another thing is, if you get a 360 for example, it's like marrying a beautiful grandma. She would soon need a heart surgery, knee replacement, and taking medications everyday (In this case, medical fee is not free). While with the brand new Porsche, it's like marrying a teen, don't need to visit a doctor. Here are 2 photos. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Lol...not sure the grandma/teen analogy works, because there is literally no good reason to marry a grandma, and I think the older fcar deserves more credit than that.....few of us would mind marrying a Dino!.... but I kind of get what you mean. To me, the Porsche is like ordering a salad....it's the smart thing to do...and maybe you can't go wrong with it. .but the older Ferrari is poutine or nachos....maybe you'll regret it later, but it's damn fun at the time. It's for that reason, if I was buying a true daily driver, I would undoubtedly buy a Porsche 911 turbo. But, for my needs, a fun car to play with on weekends 3 seasons of the year, and still leave some inheritance for my daughter, my list is 360, 430, Gallardo. And I have no delusions of ever going to a track, so track specs mean nothing to me. I'd rather go golfing.
I just noticed there are 6 570Ss for sale with basically delivery miles. most are lease takeovers. Is this a quick flip? or is the car no good? Anyone with experience chime in?
I wouldn't think so, mclaren will be coming out with multiple variations of the 570, if you can be one of the first for the spyder or track version it could be flipped quickly for profit.
In Toronto I'm surprised by the amount of attention the 360 gets. I didn't buy the car to get looks (I like the driving experience) but I don't imagine more than 1 in 10 average people could tell you whether a 360, 430, 458 or 488 was the newer car... Maybe you mean looks at The Shangri-La or profiling in a neighbourhood like Yorkville? ;-) Had one for a few day test drive...it's an f'ing weapon. Incredibly fast, great steering, decent ride, nimble handling and incredible interior quality. I was genuinely impressed. That said, hard to get in and out of (I'm 6'5") and you can't see the engine and I don't love the rear end styling. Incredible machine for $220K compared to a 911TT or over-hyped 991 GT3.
If a 360 is a grandma what is a 308. And those get a look. Maybe because it was the top model of the grandma!
308 is Candice Bergen 360 is Monica Bellucci And by the way...328 is Christie Brinkley. Oh and a TR is Kim Basinger!!
I'm enjoying my Monday morning newspaper, deciding on a nice 599...a few great examples between $150 - $190 USD on Ebay right now. I'm totally changing my mind right now after seeing this GT4 within the same price range to boot ! LOL
It is hard to tell of the car's condition given the so-so pics on autotrader. However if you think that one is reasonable then this one must be a bargain @ 85K USD: 1975 Ferrari 308 Dino GT4 - $85 000 USD | classic cars | City of Toronto | Kijiji Cheers, Sam
Examples Michael Sheehan quote) Maranello-height of market $170,000US now selling $105,000 US) sold in Mar '16. 2014 price $75-85,000. Look at Forza pg. 18 under bubble busters. US dollars. Just sayin, one mans opinion. Like I said in this column 2 months ago, be patient. No buyer wins by overpaying.
No Offense to 308 GTS or 308 GT4 owners... but IMHO these cars are barely collectible ..the high build numbers and so-so history don't warrant these high numbers. You could grab these for $40K 5 years ago... what has caused them to increase 5 times ? There is some sort of false market being shown here. If anything, these cars are a liability in finding parts, labour and repairs. You can't compare them to anything of the 60's and 70's, this was a totally different era.
Lucas, Sheehan says the same of all high production cars. The rare ones will always be collectable-ie 550 spider. The others are great ,but drivers.
