    hi,

can someone elaborate differences between the 2.

    1. are they essentially the same header ?

    2. I believe Fabspeed comes with O2 extender ? does AP do ? if not, is this just a standard generic O2 extender ?

    3. Fabspeed comes with gaskets, AP does not ? if not, how much are they ?

    4. AP is ~$800 less. but how is their warranty / customer service ?

    thanks !!

No difference I could see. I bought AP for my '05 430 and did ceramic coating plus header wrap. Stock cat with no o2 extenders and no cel. S line cat back.

I originally installed just the headers and they slipped right in to the oem spot with no adjustment needed.

Mine came with gasket and copper lock nuts. I used oem gaskets though.

I have Agency Power and VR sent it with new copper nuts but no gasket. I just ordered some from Ricambi at the same time. I don't remember how much but it was but it was nothing extreme. The header change wasn't that easy. More because the header nuts are hard to get to in a very tight spots. The nuts being copper and softer didn't help either. Some of the studs came out too but not a big deal.

I went the FabSpeed route as my Ferrari dealer here in OR is a factor rep for them. I think its a great thing that you get full dealer support for something aftermarket. You also might consider adding the OEM upgraded exhaust which Ferrari makes for the 430. Effectively it makes the car straight pipe and sheds weight by getting rid of that huge can right behind the engine...that does leave a huge open space there though.

I read that long thread about melted e-brake cable. Pretty confusing, it seems different f430 routes them differently. Anyway to check without taking off bottom panels ?

As for o2 extender. I am a bit confused. With other aftermarket header, it is to move o2 sensor downstream. So o2 cable isn't long enough. Is this the same ? Is This cable just a generic o2 cable extended ?

    Thanks

Fabspeed and AP headers themselves are the same. Fabspeed includes the gaskets and O2 extenders. The O2 extenders " extend" the sensor further away from the exhaust flow, they attach to the same mounting points in the header collector.

I had AP's on my CS. They cracked. :-/ My E brake cable melted too but, again, that's on a CS. Might be different on a 430.

I drove mine with Fabspeed headers for 500+ miles without the blanket. However, I decided to purchase the blanket for "Peace of Mind" I also put the S-Line exhaust which makes the car's low RPM drone almost gone plus high pitch F-1 sound added. Happy with the combo and no need to do it further.

Fabspeed makes great products that I use in different cars. I think Fabspeed gives you lifetime garantee on their products. You might need to check with them.

Here is the picture right before putting the blankets on. Purple color seems perfect to me.

We own Agency Power. It is our in-house brand.

The Fabspeed and Agency Power headers are similar in several ways. Both are 4 into 1 design. Both are made of 304 stainless. Both include a limited lifetime warranty.

Where they differ is in what's included. With Fabspeed, you get new gaskets, hardware, and the O2 sensor spacers. Agency Power only includes new hardware.

Price wise, the Fabspeed are $3995 + Shipping at list price, whereas the Agency Power are $2700 + Shipping at list price.

We are also a Fabspeed supplier, so if you'd like a quote on them, feel free to shoot me a PM. We do offer special Ferrarichat member pricing on Fabspeed.

For Agency Power, I provide it to Ferrarichat members at $2295 w/ free shipping in the lower 48 states, and ship international with a $50 credit toward shipping.

We also offer ceramic coating for the Agency Power headers. This has a list price of $400, but I include it for an extra $255, which brings them to $2550 w/ free shipping in the lower 48 states.

I also offer packages that can include the Capristo header blankets. These are the best F430 header blankets on the market currently.
