    It was lucky that Lauda was already established by then.
    Losing Romerquelle may not have much affected his career, but it was surely a blow to his market value.

    Bertrand Gachot was driving alongside Andrea de Cesaris in Eddie Jordan's new outfit.
    He bought his drive with personal sponsorship.
    He had an altercation with a London taxi driver and was arrested.
    His sponsors dropped him like a lead balloon and Schumacher was in the car for the next GP at Spa, being immediately snatched by Briatore for Benetton.

    I think it's a very relevant topic. F1 runs on money even more so than the Olympics.
    People don't want to talk about it ?

    I'm surprised that no one has drawn the obvious link between the OPs original post and it's wishful application to a certain Mr Hamilton... ;)
