This is my 2nd 30k service, I performed the 1st service in May 2010 @ 18k Miles. Purchased the car in 2007. Mileage is now 42k. So ~24k miles and 6 years since the last service. It will be interesting to see the things that I did well and the things I need to improve this time.

Very cool Fred! Looking forward to watching this thread. You have driven plenty of miles too, that is great to see.

Major service and full resto threads are my favourite on the forum by far.

How awesome does that exhaust sound!! Must be loud eh?

Take plenty of pics and have fun Brother!

    So just for perspective.

Since the last service I have replaced the oil pressure sensor due to flaky pressure readings, triple seals due to a leak, and the half shaft boots due to 1 boot tearing. Other than that it has been a trouble free experience.. Not counting multiple sets of rear tires!!

Very good! Looking forward to it mate!

I bet it does! Wow. lol

Sounds like just basic wear and tear items to me Fred!

And that is great considering you have driven a lot of miles in your car over the last 6 years.

I have only driven my 348 6000 miles in 11+ years total.

I run a 1000 mile trip twice a year. The FCA-RMR Fall Foliage Tour. I have never had an issue. Test pipes and a challenge exhaust. People love to run behind my car! This the Million$ highway from 2014

This is going to be a cool thread. Looking forward to seeing what you find after 6 years and 24k miles, especially with regard to the timing belt and tensioners.

I'm already curious about one thing-- have any of the front bearings, drive chains, chain tensioners/idlers, etc under the front cover ever been replaced? I'm trying to get a sense of how long the updated factory components last.

Noticed your exhaust right away. Bet it sounds rowdy. :D

Engine out in the morning 12 bolts and 4 nuts to go. Pretty dirty in general, some weep and leak
One thing I have noticed is the garage floor is much cleaner the 2nd time.

Things I learned: Last service I tightened the brake union and the fuel return line too tight.

~ 8 hours to where it sits, including waiting for the oil and gear oil to drain. Have to move slow as I am it.

I am on the 1 month plan this time.
Last time I was on the 3 month plan.
I liked to just go sit out in the garage and look at the engine.

Plus I don't have to identify and order any extra tools
    or
    Figure out my next step
