At the concourse I learnt today that there were a tota lof 325 RHD manwell 360s produced worldwide. No idea to any truth to that however.
The owner does have a lot of Ferraris and not enough time to use them. But he will bring any car out if he's asked. That particular GTO was given by Enzo to Michele Alboreto - it has historical significance and I don't think I'd be driving it a lot either.
Yes mate I know who and why and what,it's just a pity a lot of these cars, particularly the rarer one's,don't get exercised as much as they do......mine included.!
About that 288GTO, said owner (who BTW is a good peddler) trucked it to the Qld national rally 7 years ago for display at the concorso. But once that was over, he drove it to the skid-pan event. The skid-pan appearance brought a lot of smiles to faces - quite spectacular! So although it doesn't get out often, it is at least occasionally driven as Enzo might have intended.
He drove it to David Levy's funeral in Sutherland and others bought their classics and exotica. It was what David wanted and the Crematorium will probably never see a car show like it again!
