Engaged Clutch Noise

clickety type noise could be anything. 2 things come to mind. grease going away in the dual mass flywheel pack. Simple fix pack with new grease. Wait too long and wear out the plastic pieces and you never get rid of the noise. But that is hard to do. Usually you get hard hot restarts before that happens. second thing is like T/O bearing sound..."but not." That could be a loose clutch shaft lock ring. That failure will destroy a gearbox. We saw that on the 348 challenge cars that were raced. You can hear that best with a mechanic's stethescope on the gearbox at the point where the clutch line hose comes out the top of the box. if you suspect that stop driving the car and get it checked out if you are not comfortable in your diagnosis.
