348 in NorCal seems like a good deal

It appears nice in the pics plus a bonus with the 355 rims. But, that engine bay looks scary. Especially if the major was done earlier this year.

I would say the exact opposite, the bay looks very original and unmolested. I would rather buy a car with one looking like that than freshly jet washed in order to hide oil leaks etc and splattered in silicone shine.

I think it's a great deal and it won't take much to clean that car up.

Engine bay looks a little dirty in those pics, but that's about it. Some minor stuff to replace/repair and a good clean inside will pretty this car up.

Looks great with the 355 wheels also.

Do you have x ray eyes?, what's the outer dust got to do with replacing internal parts?

So if a dirty car just gets a valet does that mean the engine internals are then perfect!

I would want to see the paperwork to prove its had a major, not whether the engine is sparkly clean!

 

IMO, a clean engine compartment means a lot. If you can't even bother to clean it, which is an easy thing to do, what else was not bothered with?

Clean engine compartment pretty much sealed the deal on the purchase of my car. Just personal preference as I believe it shows pride in ownership.

Pretty easy to tell the difference between something cared for it's whole life verses neglected and then quickly detailed.

 

and I imagine you did not pay bottom dollar for your car either, which this owner is doing.

Never said you can. I would be on board with this car for the price, just saying that I think there's some importance to a clean engine compartment rather than it not mattering at all.

 

Well someone is going to snap it up, give it a clean and no doubt snaffled a good deal as a result

 

The ad now states the major was done June 2015 vs the initial Craigslist post of January 2016.
Carguy you said you were tempted to see it but had no room for it.
But, latest post states you saw it? Tell us more ...

 

So the major is over a year ago, maybe. There are no receipts posted.

Engine bay is dirty. Car parked outside? But might hint at a later engine out date as originally posted which is now confirmed.

I wonder where in NorCal? I might know this car...
