My take is you have to look at your budget. The cars you have suggested are all over the board on cost. So let's start with this . . . if you can afford a 250, maybe go there. Daytona, cant touch it under a million dollars of any type. But prices on everything are softening so if money is an issue, look for value. In terms of analog feel, and great noise, you should consider the 348 or 355. Both of those cars have great Ferrari pedigree. I happen to love the 355, but that was my first car, so I have a sentimental place in my heart for it. If you could afford a Testarossa or 550, you should definitely consider those. Both cars are solid drivers, sound great and are V-12 powered--which is a different phase of life over a V-8.
No joke. You answered a post from 2012 based on current market figures. Back in 2012, one could cross shop between a 250 lusso and a 458. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My bad! Tapatalk shows 9/12 and with my recent move to Europe I thought that meant September 2012. Thanks for clarifying. This thread makes no sense then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nothing wrong with anyone driving a Ferrari regularly. I drive my 330 GTC between six and ten thousand miles per year. It's a 1967 and now has 183,000 miles. It has a number of mods that make it more user friendly. I doubt that I spend more than $500 per year for maintenance. If you can afford it, I highly recommend a 60's or 70's carbureted car. You can do all the maintenance yourself and parts are readily available. If you get a 2+2, you will have lots of trunk room for shopping and loading bags of mulch and the like. Bob Z.
Lets look at it from a budget perspective. Under 100k 308 Qv 328,348 and 355. Of thgose the nicest drivign are a euro Qv and the 355. They will all have alcassic feel to drive. Over 100-200k and its a Tr or a 550. To me the 550 drives too similar to pretty much any number of modern cars. 250-300k you might find a boxer. All of the baove would l be a great purist drive, useable on modern roads and still feel very much classic ferrari. Then you step up to the 700k range which is the daytona, these cars need to be going 80+ to be fun and you really want big roads to wring them out. There are also the 275 and 330 Gtc which many considder nicer to drive than a daytona or 275 Gts. After that you are above 1 mill.
