This week actually - Tuesday, Wednesday, and finished up today I heard.

BC's GTO 3387GT has been at The Frist Center for Visual Arts in Nashville, TN as part of their "Bellissima" display since May 27th and continuing through October 9th. I assume it will return to the Simeone Museum afterwards which is where it had been for many months prior.

The photo below is from my visit to the Frist on June 6th.

I'd be a little surprised if that were accurate.

I believe BC only owns one 250 GTO - the blue one which is in Nashville, as I noted. He's certainly not the owner of either McLaren F1 that participated, and two of the three Alfa's are also definitely not his.

I don't know the owner of the Alfa seen in this picture with the canvas top fitted, so that leaves it as the only option among the cars that attended, as far as I can tell.

Fantastic gathering !! High res pics are welcome.....
I try to identify all these beauties.
    GTOs : 3769GT, 4091GT, 4293GT, 4713GT, 5575GT and the one with a French stripe (3705GT Davies or 3943GT Nearburg ?)
Alfa 8C : 412031 Simeone and 412036 Collier. Is its possible to know the plate on the 3rd one, which seems to be a 8C 2300.
    McLaren F1 : 02R and LM2.

I wish Ralph would bring out the 365 P2/3 once in a while....I can't finish a model project I'm on without some good, authoritative shots of the interior configuration...

MAJOR props to the owners for driving the cars and bringing them out for display; you always know the 'car guys' from the rest of 'em...

The article is also wrong about there only being 3 S1 GTO rebodied to S2 '64 spec as there were 4. It's missed that GTO #4675 was rebodied also.

Ralph Lauren does own an identical F1 LM, but the one participating in this tour is not his car, which is chassis 'LM3'.

The F1 LM participating in this tour is a new arrival in the USA as of last year. It was purchased through the McLaren factory's MSO unit back in 2013 by a Chicago collector who is not well known, but has a very serious collection of McLarens and other sports cars. This one is chassis 'LM2' formerly in Japan since new.

Here's one photo of it taken last October when it finally surfaced in Chicago outside his garage and another taken there on Labor Day while out for a test run in preparation for this tour, wearing an Illinois dealer plate.

Thank you for the photos Erik. The F1 LM or the GTR are, by far, one of the best cars ever made.
So glad that the new owner is using it after so many years of sleeping in the Museum in Nagoya.

    Thank you.

    Fixed that for you.

You would think so as he owns a McLaren, a GTO, and 412030, sister 8c 2.9 MM Alfa to FS's 412031.
    But, I guess... priorities(?)

    Without a doubt.

This image taken by the media team at McLaren Philadelphia surfaced on Instagram this afternoon of LM2 in their studio a couple of weeks ago. They'll be sharing more content soon, along with a video. :)

LM2 is really the best example of the F1 LM. It has seen very little use and to my knowledge has no "stories". The one that Ralph Lauren owns was involved in an unfortunate accident while being road tested following a complete service including new brakes just a few months after his December 2004 purchase. The result of which was a trip back to the factory for some not-minor repair work to the rear end of the car.

The other three F1 LM customer cars all went to the Royal Family in Brunei and as far as I am aware remain there today. Stories about the conditions of those cars due to the climate in that region of the world have been dire and I'm aware that it has been a number of years since they have been serviced by the factory. Also two of them were not painted orange as McLaren had intended, and the original paint scheme applied to those cars would not appeal to most people.

A well placed source confirmed that the 8C 2300 Corto Zagato Spider in that image is chassis #2111007 for anyone else concerned. Also not from RL's collection so far as I'm aware.

Ralph Lauren is notoriously private with his cars and while he displays them in various art installations or at Pebble, he doesn't use them in ways that Simeone or Collier or Auriana etc does. I must say that while its RLs right to do what he wants with them, it is flipping good to see these cars driven on the street as they were designed to be......
