    The shields on that blue f12 look much bigger than normal... They look really out of place that large.

    Agree, but thats a "one off" 70th Anniversary car right? Did the 1961 250 that Moss drove have shields like that at any point ?

    Perhaps like watches (comparing to pocket timepieces with 44mm casings), I guess shields are going back to the earlier sizes too. The 1950s had shields twice the size as the one shown above.
