Interestingly the stock Ghibli Cups now trade for more than the Open Cups (especially since the auction of the most recent Open Cup which sets a new low as the bench price). Maybe because the Cup can be driven on the road it is deemed more desirable and useful by more people - and more people means more demand means higher price.

As examples, the last two Cups sold in the UK were at around the USD 60k mark - so more than double the price of this Open Cup.

It'll be interesting to look back a decade or so from now, to see how things have changed (or not).

I think this result at Gooding in Monterey was not the market value/price. Wrong place, wrong auction, good for me.

Sorry, at the Moment that IS the market price.

Enjoy your car, but do not expect high prices soon.

So few do sell is there even such a thing as market price? Certainly this one is no boost.

Glad to see it made it safely.

As a race car what are the import duties & tariffs?

    Any different than street car?

I do remember one German guy who bought a bunch of these post the final racing season and then tried to adapt them for the street. Mixed results in sales ...

Can yours be registered that way there?

Change the belt and look at the tensioner, tensioner pivot bushing and idler pulley bearing.

The original wheels crack easily too.

Once you get it upon on a rack for a full nut and bolt inspection there's an engineering failure in that cast aluminum front end upright that can cause the front suspension to become very loose at speed, quite suddenly. Ping me when you're there.

Put something on or behind those trunk spring clips. They chew up the hell out of the paint and fiberglass. Add windshield peel offs too. Looks like there's already "some" protection on the rear bumper for the exhaust heat. It WILL burn the paint and fiberglass if not completely protected, assuming you use this at the track like it should be.

You probably already know about the wheels? Extremely rare and quite fragile. I had a set of 3 piece made so that I could repair any issues. They are heavier than the originals though.

Those look like the original 95 headlamps, also quite rare now so protect them. The EVO kit supplanted them with new mounting brackets, much easier to find F355 style headlamps and a set of crimmy fiberglass surrounds.
Was this car upgraded to racing by William Sala?

No, not yet. Next year I will go to a track and try the baby. I am sure it will bring a lot of fun ;-)

Have you checked the bolts & nuts on those rough cast front uprights yet? Improperly installation causes one of the critical vertical nylock nuts to come off at the track. The nylock portion never engages the threads because it's too tall so Loctite is required there. It's a very nasty surprise. Having the suspension aligned very carefully and corner balanced with you in the driver's seat really help the handling. The EVO kit shocks are non adjustable and setup for very smooth tracks. Not so good on bumpy tracks.

    Hi Ferrari 308 Vetro,
