I said dislike. Not hate. And it was a personal opinion anyways. Not representing a whole state or something.
Post a video or tell us which is your favourite Hamilton performance. It's pretty rare for the Tifosi to pay tribute to rival drivers, so I'd just roll with it if I was a massive Hamilton fan. All the best, Andrew.
Silverstone 2008 was an epic drive. Top 10 wet performance of all time. He was untouchable that day in Senna/Schumacher fashion. Also Canada 08...J/K
Hey thanks for the advise. My days of epic battles of wits in the F1 forum are behind me. I carry that same thick skin into P+R now. Courtesy of the F1 merry crew
Hahahahaha, that's toooooo funny........ my money is on the rookie pressing the wrong button whilst adjusting his pacifier, much like when he decided to try the gravel trap as a shortcut in China the same year....... Ahhhh damn, I promised myself I wouldn't come in here too often..... Go on, carry on, I'm off! Enjoy yourselves
Thanks for that...... i couldn't possibly comment on that in this celebration thread I set up for his fans, but if they read it, and are normal, their opinion of him should be suitably reduced. How he has any fans escapes me
He scorched some media types for not being "supportive" of him. I didn't realize that was their job. What a snowflake....
I commented in the qualy thread. He is useless and I could care less how 'talented' he is. Lucky to have the job, lucky to be in the Mercedes and its too hard for him to face the press. Weak- useless -entitled. Part of the job is to simply deal with the press. My word what a burden. Mercedes actually deserve better.....oh wait....they have Nico. No need for LH his attitude or Kardsashian-esque drama.
For once, I am fully in agreement with Hamilton on that one!! I didn't know that could ever happen ... These FIA press conferences are just plainly boring. Just look at the faces of the participants! They look like a bunch of school-kids during detention. It's obvious none of them want to be there! The journos always ask the same silly questions, to which the public already has the answers. It's so artificial. I cringe every time I see this. What kind of joke is this? Is it how they expect the drivers and the public to connect? It's just adverse PR ...
If its so hard to face the press he should quit. The press owe him nothing. I have zero sympathy for his plight. Its part of the job. Get on with it as the Brits always say, chin up. Not - Im out. Zero sympathy from me and it simply makes him look weak overall. Some people have it hard in this world - LH does not. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! He needs to grow up
There are other ways to connect with the press than to forcibly attend stage-managed press conferences. Why everything around F1 so regulated. It's like the Soviet Union !!
A lot of everyday working people do jobs where every week, they have to attend boring meetings on the same day, at the same time, for the same period of time, often having to sit listening to others waffle on about subjects that have no relevance to their own job, and then if they have anything to say at all they speak for two minutes and then have to sit through the rest of the meeting, and more often than not, each weeks meeting is exactly the same as all the others. They don't get a choice as to whether they attend the meeting or not, they're expected to attend as a part of their job, even if their time could be better spent elsewhere. Added to that, they're not getting paid tens of Millions of Dollars/Pounds/Euro's or whatever to attend those meetings. Attending press conferences is a a part of what Lewis Hamilton gets paid tens of Millions of Dollars for, and it's a chance for fans to find out via the various media outlets just how he thinks the various free practice sessions, qualifying sessions and races went for him, along with other things happening in F1. He's bored with it? - Well boo hoo for him! Is he also bored counting the Millions that he gets paid to put up with it? It's a couple of hours over a weekend for crying out loud! - It's not like he's having to spend 95% of his race weekend sat in the press conferences!
You can't pick and chose, the fans want to hear from the drivers in the press conference, they get little enough first hand news from them. If Elton can't be bothered, retire. Schumacher managed way more press conferences than he ever will, and he always had the good graces to turn up and make comment
..........especially when it's unwarranted. Hey! Anybody here a photoshop expert? I'd love to see PETULANT in place of PETRONAS on Hammy's car.....
What do you learn from a rehearsed PR exercise, that the commentators and journalists haven't disclosed yet? Also, don't forget that the drivers are probably obliged to observe some confidential clauses and cannot divulge anything of real interest.
It's airtime for his sponsors logos who are contributing big $$$ to his salary. These same sponsors must now be delighted LH is limiting their exposure
