Currently looking at a 360, but not fond of the interior color at all. Thinking about buying used black or beige seats, carpet, door panels, etc., off of parted out cars and then selling the original interior pieces to (partially) cover the project cost. Seems like this would be a much more efficient (and fun) option that having the interior refinished. Would this even be a possible switch in the garage? What would it do to the value of the car? Are all 360 interiors pretty much plug n play?

There are several owners who have done this from what I've seen here. If it has enough miles to be a "driver" and not a garage queen, then I doubt it would do anything to harm the value unless the color combo is of a unusual taste.

What color is the interior you want to remove?

Red. Car has 53k miles. Not interested in a show car, just would like to see the value stay somewhat steady.

A change from Bordeaux to Nero or one of the tan variants should not harm value on such a ride.... changing to blue or green, maybe would.

If it's seats are Bordeaux Daytonas with black stripes, I'll gladly make you an offer on them should you buy it!

    Good luck in your search!

FWIW, I think the red looks good with the exterior color. If it were a red car with an all red interior, I'd agree with you that another interior color would be better, but silver/red is a classic color combo. Two cents.

Edit: I would, however, change the red steering wheel to black. Not a fan of steering wheels in any color than black. It would be expensive to change, but much less than changing everything.

Totally agree - I think if you change the wheel you'll appreciate just how nice that interior is.

Oh, and add black mats ;)

Black carpets and a black steering wheel will tone that right down.

I know exactly the car you are considering. Its gorgeous. It's nearly a clone of mine with a few more miles. I hope it turns out to be worth buying on your due diligence.

Honestly, black floor mats and a black steering wheel, and maybe some black/red seats would achieve your goal with less cost and less work as long as you're a fan of Bordeaux.

My interior is all red except the wheel, and the floor mars really improved the look imho.

Bordeaux and any of the Grigio's is perfectly good with me, in fact my favourite is the brighter shade of red: Rosso. Love the steering wheel.

As the others above me suggest - even black mats will tone it down.

If you're not worried about resale (which you shouldn't IMHO when you but a car.. ) You can replace any bit of the interior of that car with the interior bit of another.

What I would do personally is find carpeting etc. in black on eBay and then parts like the door panels that aren't going to see alot of contact pressure and use, I'd remove them and dye them black. As far as the seats.. you could keep them burgundy or dye them black or replace the covering in black.. or find a cheap pair on eBay with the other black bits.

I say kudos to those who like a burgundy interior.. but there is a reason why it kills the resale compared to black or tan interiors. When I was looking I would have bought the car at a significantly less than market price and colored it myself with a spray leather dye and 2000 grit sandpaper. But I would disassemble the interior myself. It's really easy to do except the dashboard.

Because the upper dash is black, I think it's very manageable.

I'd just change the seats and wheel and leave everything else.

What I love about the Bordeaux interior is that you feel surrounded by "Ferrari red" instead of just seeing it on your hood. Silver / red combo is only second to a TDF blue/red combo on my desirability list.

Hope you're able to acquire it. It's listed for a steal of a price if it is well sorted.

Edit: btw, just saw this steering wheel in the ads. (No relation or vested interest)

I have to second or third at this point , black steering wheel and carpets. It looks great anyway but that will tone it down

Keep the red and just get a black wheel. It looks pretty awesome as is with that color exterior.

I think it might grow on you. Also, if you do a search of classic sports cars, you'll probably see quite a few silver/red cars.

When I was considering my scud, I wasn't sure about the charcoal gray alcantara interior. Then I realized that my hero car, the F40, also had a gray interior. I decided if gray was good enough for the F40, it was good enough for me, and I haven't given it another thought.
