Can anyone remember or knows for sure the original Canadian MSRP of a 1994 512tr? I purchased one about a month ago and it came with the bill of sale, but it only showed what the original owner paid less his trade in. I'm thinking it was something like $250,000 but I'm not sure. Any thoughts
    Thanks
    Adam

Hi Adam, my dad bought a brand new 512 TR in 1992 from Gentry Lane in Toronto.

IIRC the price was around $320k with options and taxes included. He still has the original gloss booklet with 'Gentry Lane Ferrari' stamp on it...collectors item!

I asked and the 1994 yellow 512 TR was about 350k but will try to get the specific number.
First weekend the owner had that TR he took it to Mosport and tracked it...

Sorry Dude....that brochure is classic Toronto history!

Remember the good old days in 1992 when you could walk into the Gentry Lane mechanics shop and walk around with an espresso and cigarette?.....And you could also buy a house on College st. for $150,000 !!!

    No this was something different.
The F40 deal was charity rides if I remember correctly and a lawyer was driving...
That GL F40 was one of two examples they might have had. One night they took the F40 out on dealer plates and cruised through Yorkville. When new the F40 could not be registered for street use.
At the showroom party the F40 was on display beside the 288 GTO which also saw some 'track time' at Mosport more than once...

Wow! $350K. That was a lot of jack back then.

What $ are they averaging out at (mid-range) today?

Lucas was John Graham the salesman at Gentry Lane on that deal for the TR? Those cars were hard to come by back then.

in 92 right in the heart of the crash the 512tr was $329 - and the 348TB was $139 - 155 for ragtop.... the f40 was $549 - but you couldnt get any as they were all sold out yrs before the crash .... and hit 1M in 1990... what a time .... i recall 328s were still 125 grand.
Some may recall the Acura NSX was half the money 75K and made the 348 look bad in the tests, and had better build quality than the 348 ... difficult times for ferrari back then.

my TR in 86 was $189 - dont forget TRs were fetching close to 400k in the mid 80s when the boom was happening.

I think it was with Luigi himself. I also remember Michel (now at LoT) being around at the time back in his younger days.

I remember Michel in FOO back in 1997, we test drove a yellow F355 spider with blue/black interior. That was a highlight of my life as Michel kinda scared me on the test drive. heeeeeeeeeeee

Michel wherever you are thanks for that moment!

Larry was a good guy indeed. The few times I went up to the dealership (to have a bit of a dream) he was always cordial, pleasant and more than willing to chat about Ferraris if he wasn't busy.

Does anyone here know what John Graham is doing now? Last I heard, he moved up north. John was the GM at Gentry Lane when I knew him. I remember taking the F40 to the auto show and through Yorkville. ;)
