That's about what I do in my DP. The infield removes my primary advantage of downforce, just can't get it enough in the slower corners.

Friend got a new Lambo Huracan GT3 & it's ridiculously fast LOL

Amazing how much faster the 488 GT3 is compared to the 458 Challenge. I assume the 488 has not been power restricted yet for competition. It looks like the only driver that was somewhat of a challenge was the white #125 Challenge car. Great to see video with the times.

Yes indeed. They predicted the GT3 car would be 3-4 secs faster than the 458 Challenge at Homestead, and that's what we saw. As you'd expect, it was particularly quicker on the high speed corners and braking zones, and under acceleration above 80 MPH.

SUCH a fun car to drive, too :)

What would be a good lap time at COTA in a stock e36?

Nice times Greg. If you could get down to 195lbs, your lap times would be even quicker and your wife even happier!

I believe the F1 times were 1:30, so adding a minute makes sense, I think. Despite appearances, I'm hearing COTA is not that fast of a track.

very well indeed. keep it up and don't get too crazy chasing lap times. as a beginner, most important thing is to keep it safe

You are doing well! I used to drive a 2008 CS - stick and not PDK.

Are your instructors or Club colleagues allowing you to drive at these speeds? You shouldn't be chasing lap times in your first year. Work on the lines in each track - dry and wet situations, smoothness, braking/gas transitions and being a safe driver. Once you go up levels, you'll be working hard to pass cars to impress for Red or Instructor group levels (at least in PCA) at which point you will get into many, many, many dicey situations where if you weren't trained properly could be serious for you and the other drivers. Also at your clip of speed by 2017 add to your upgrade list - a roll-cage/harness, hans device and at least R comps. If you're not prepared for safety either slow down or make sure your loved ones know your decision. I've seen too many people get hurt on track. yes, just DE.

Sounds like PCA is the safest door to door series out there?

Old lap times 22 yrs ago

    935 club car
    1:28 big willow-- old goodyears
1:06.24 Phoenix-- new old hard firestones
    1:12 streets 914/6

I'd like to travel to lots of tracks mentioned. Luckily I got a ride- along in a GT3 at Sebring this year to keep my dream alive.
