Instead of just bringing me down, we could have a conversation, what did I get wrong? Although I did just remember what you are referring to with the screen not turning off on Andriod, so yes, I made an error there. Android uses the front facing camera for this yes? And I realise I think I misunderstood your Bluetooth comment as well, yes, it's easy on Android to get to paired devices by launching from the pull down menu, whereas you have to go to settings in iOS.
Typical Samsung pointless wankiness. Like the embarrassingly silly hand swiping rubbish. The kind of thing that is only useful for saying to your bored companions: "Hey, look what my phone does"... Anyhoo, I was right as usual. Your iPhone should stay illuminated as long as you want it to, unlike what you suggested.
No...I said that Samsung stays on while you're looking at it.....your iphone stays on because you set it to stay on. If you don't see the difference, then that's your problem.
soooooo...it doesn't do it. That's what I said. You'll have to show me. I looked at the demo in the app store and it doesn't look adequate to me. It still doesn't have a dictation button!!!! Ridiculous Apple! icloud broke my outlook. Android leaves outlook intact whilst syncing contacts, calendar and notes....all wirelessly and not ONLY while charging. That is totally incorrect. Gee....great! lol What about when you don't pick it up? On a Samsung I can set so that the time, state of charge and icons for messages and missed calls is permanently on. Very handy when I'm driving my OHOS which has a clock in a place that's best described as invisible. Also handy when it's just sitting on a table. AND....if you put it in a bag or pocket the sensors turn it off. I don't know what you're not sure about. You'll need to show me why. It really isn't. I was asked what sorts of things my S7 does that my iPhone 7 doesn't. I've listed SOME of them. Nothing to do with personal preference. What does the iphone do that Samsung doesn't? So far: shows the battery level of a Bluetooth device attached to it. Pressure sensitive screen is a fun gimmick....too early to say if it's useful, but I think it might be.
This is turning into a real embarrassment U.S. Ban on Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Cellphones on Aircraft Goes Into Effect - WSJ
iCloud is acceptable.....just. Can't put icons and widgets where *I* want to put them with the iphone. I might buy an apple watch today.
It turns out the Office stuff synchs perfectly with the iPad through onedrive (I said idrive before which was of course wrong). So now I can make changes to a document on any of the desktop, laptop, or iPad, and the changes are there straight away. No doubt this is no news to most people but I'm surprised how well it works. It used to seem virtually impossible for the two different systems to talk.
It's very useful for people who use documents, so I can understand why it seems useless to you. Why you'd enter anything into a calendar on anything except a mobile device I'm not sure. Who says "What am I doing tomorrow? I'll just check my desktop..."? Email synchs fine, as it always has.
Fact update: Outlook works perfectly (including calendar) between my iPad and the laptop / desktop. Next!
is that right? So you have outlook contacts and calendar syncing across various computers do you? You're a genius! Tell us all how please. And all this is done wirelessly and without plugging in the phone when you log on to the network?? Tell us all about it.
One more thing....if someone can let me know how to sync 'outlook notes' to my iphone, I'd be most appreciative.
