Ted, I understand your concern but unless you do a fast hillclimb with it it is very hard to get the oil above 60-70 degrees. Perhaps the gauge is also some pessimistic, anyway mine is exactly the same, ciao Oscar
the gauge was like this for years, it did work but only moved a little. The car runs cool so I never worried about it. As part of the eventual restoration two different shops "checked" the gauge and sender. I eventually ordered the $35 sender and swapped it, now the gauge reads more as expected. Malcolm
