Thanks, awesome writeup. Where do you recommend to buy the filter and washers?

Filter and washers at your dealer or order from Ricambi.

    Jeff,
I followed your (original) procedure to the T, it helped me out a lot. Thanks for the update!

    2006M5,
I used the exact same oil Jeff recommended in Step 1: Pennzoil Ultra-synthetic. It is also what the dealer recommended. Got it on sale at AutoZone (and it has the Prancing Horse on the bottle).

Thanks for the extraordinary effort in putting this procedure together and doing so in such a comprehensive fashion.

No really! Look at Jeff's picture in step #1. I think this is a cool co-branding, but I can't figure out how they can co-exist with old-time Ferrari co-brand Shell who also has the horse on their Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40.

And not that I know this for a fact but I have not seen any other vehicle brand's logo on oil (except for the manufacturer's specific oil like BMW, Harley, etc)

Or did you mean this bottle?

Thanks for the write up. I'm not sure if the 360 came with plugs, or if the previous owner did what you did, but my 360 had oval rubber plugs to access the drain plugs. I also used plastic bags from the grocery store around the oil filter area because I spill no mater what.

Great write up! Can I ask where did you get the 3" plastic rubber plugs?

Great instructions. I did it today and my undertray (2013) is different. Right next to the two crankcase drain plugs is a rectangular space. I can see the plugs through the rectangular space. This mode is awesome as removing the undertray and diffuser is a pain in the butt!

Brilliant! Takes the pain out of this necessary procedure... Now if I can just figure what’s the best jack to lift my 458 up to get at the plugs!

Unfortunately, my ceiling height is only eight feet, so no four post or two post lifts for this bloke. I’m looking at Quick Jacks and another style that is a scissor style lift. Decisions, decisions... Cheers!
