Call me old school, but unless vintage car event entry includes a catered and reasonably good breakfast/lunch (can't stomach cheap "junk food"), I usually bring my own "picnic basket" for guaranteed enjoyable ingredients and no lines.

Mike, your 450 SS is very cool. I know about the engine, but what chassis/suspension components/designs it features ?

I had hoped to make my return trip to Riverside an amazing experience in itself by driving back through Angeles Crest Hwy in my almost 85 year old ride, but so many interesting encounters with other cool cars and their owners + an invitation to a home with amazing collection of vintage cars and motorcycles ranging from 1914 to 1970 (some "arranged" as "rustic" back yard art/landscape decor) along with thousands of vintage hood ornaments and b/w photos of mostly single seat race cars, etc filling cabinets and wall spaces in almost every room of the house and garages (talk about a "man-cave" and just couple of miles from Woodley Park) extended my day long enough as is.
Oh well, I'll make sure do it (the drive, up on Hwy 2) soon and perhaps once later in the winter, since I do have chains or as I like to refer them, "fish-net stockings for my girl" ;-)
