My '74 GT4 was a demo (or directors) car for Lancaster Ferrari in Essex, UK. It belonged to them for a year.

Does anyone know what the window sticker for Lancaster would have looked like in the '70s I can only find more modern ones?

    Cheers
    Jon

That's very cool with the Chinese characters.

Any more original stickers out there?

Would love to get a few more UK contributors.

I bought my 74 308 GT4 from Ralph Lowe in 1975. Still own it. Lowes were an electrical switch gear company. Ralph Lowe formed a friendship with Enzo as, back in the 60's, he bought a new Ferrari each year in Italy, drove around Europe then shipped the cars back to Australia. Enzo appointed him an official Ferrari distributor.

Lowes were the first Ferrari distributor outside of Italy IN THE WORLD!

And Ralph was a damned nice guy. He actually tried to talk me out of buying the car when he saw I had 3 young children. No chance!

Sorry...was a joke referencing one of Southern California's most famous used car dealers. Cal Worthington. He was a regular fixture on SoCal TV in the 70's and probably did buy and sell some used 308s, but he was no Ferrari dealer. He did deal with exotics of sorts, however...

My car is Australian delivered, so clearly this is a stretch but I loved the typography, the colour co-ordination and of course the History....

Nice one John, who was the original selling dealership for your car? Do you know?

So I found out to my surprise, that according to international judging rules, you can be deducted half a point for having the original dealership sticker, or for that matter a Ferrari Club owners sticker, displayed on the car.

An attempt to keep the car as pure as possible or a bit over the top... ??

    Your thoughts....

DEDUCTED for HAVING or for NOT having ?

If I can prove, that my car was delivered by that particular dealer and that this particular sticker is the original one, wich was put on the car by the dealer in those days, a deduction would be a fault. IMO it has to get an addition for the ORIGINAL dealer sticker on the car.

FOC or other Club stickers: Yes for sure, because they must be an "after market modification"

For HAVING an original sticker on the car!!

The judging criteria states the car should be presented as it rolled out of the factory gate. In fact in some events, number plates are to be removed as they were never fitted from the factory.

Crazy that something as unique as having an original dealership sticker on the window is seen as a negative by some.

I have both those and never been deducted.
