Punta Penasco aka Puerto Penasco aka Rocky Point. This locale is known by each of these names. Google it. I just call it Papa Papa Echo.

Been to Rocky Point; friends have a house there. Had not heard it called Punta Penasco. Just Puerto.

    So, Tamas,

What all equipment are you flying? Seems like your pics have several different planes.

Pure jet or just the Dash 8?

    That is a cool pic!

Looks to me like three temperature probes across the front, two pitot tubes on the left side of the nose, and an AOA probe. Maybe two more pitot tubes and an AOA probe on the right?

Either way, you are right-- it does seem like a lot of stuff! Of course, given past issues with Airbus pitot tubes, redundancy is probably a good thing.

When (if?) life ever calms down for you, I highly recommend getting in the cockpit and taking some lessons. I don't think anyone in the history of aviation has ever regretted learning to fly.

    :)

Interesting, why do you think it wasn't for you? If you don't want to answer, no worries, just curious.

One of the perks of working at the tower...I can call up whoever's working and request permission to do things like that (timing has to be good though--0900 on a Saturday is pretty much the best time to ask). They gave us a nice 360 degree lap of the airport!

I worked in the morning...we had 30kt winds from the north, happens more frequently in winter than summer, but rarely for more than a couple of hours. We were on 33R and 33L most of the day, which is very rare. I guess we had to go to the east-west runways due to capacity issues. I can imagine you were probably close to the maximum allowed crosswind (25kts).
