Very exciting, can't wait to see my Grandpa's car back on the road! I'm tempted to make a trip out there to see it in person!

    Looks great Tom!

Any chance this car will be traveling out to the Detroit area for anything? I'd love to see it in person.

What a fantastic engine bay! Is the blue color chosen from the color shown in post #31 of this thread? (Photo of chassis number on frame.)

    Wasn't the question discussed?
This car was actually born as 0191EL and retamped as 0233EL after a swap with the 1952 Paris Show Ghia Coupé which was Left hand drive.
By the way Mr Shaughnessy wat is now the condition of 0202A, the Vignale spider you (and Mr Massini) imagine it had been or the Vignale coupé it actually was?

Don't say me you still believe that your 212 Ghia Cabriolet Ghia was born as 0233/EU !!!

    - 1952 Geneva Show in march : all the odd serial numbers were around 019x

    - 1952 Torino Show in april : all the serial numbers were around 020x or 021x

    - 1952 Paris Show in october : all the serial numbers were around 023x

How your Ghia convertible could be 0233/EU at 1952 Geneva Show in march ??

Did it used a time travelling machine ??

Not really questioning nor supporting one way or another, but I assume that cars of this caliber, especially any with potentially contestable history receive a very extensive photo documentation of the entire body + all panels, chassis & trim for any and all markings/stampings, prior modifications, corrections/repairs/welds, etc. before and during the restoration, not just after being refinished.

Believe me : 0233 is not in the sequence of the serial numbers in march 1952.

It's like you were saying that 0235/EU was shown at the 1952 Geneva Show : just stupid !!

Quite right. And a major reason can be added: in 1952 212s production changed from RHD drive to LHD around #022?
