Looks like the rear end of a car from the 60's.

I think they succeeded in taking a car that looks perfect from any angle and made the rear look like it was designed by a Japanese car company.

Umm, no. Design does not need improving upon.

If the tail light bezels were more muted (even just all black), it wouldn't be so garish...

One of the finer attributes of the design is it's elegance and complete absence of "bling". Everything on the 308 has a function, there are no fake scoops or grills just for appearance sake. As a new owner I've studied it more intensely than I did as an outside admirer and there are only two aspects of mine that I'd like to alter - the Jimmy Carter bumpers and the diaper. I've already ordered the MAcarbon mounts for the front bumper and I'm going to remove the spacers on the rear but I haven't figured out what to do about the diaper yet.

Yup. The 308 design doesn't have a single speck of chrome or silver metal on it (aside from wheels), that same design goal should be maintained.

Probably a photoshop. Note that black grill extends a different length from the left and right inner tail lights. Also, the horsie is not centered about the vertical lines on the black grill. Hard to improve on the original design except for the rear bumper which the 328 addressed satisfactorily.

Definitely Photoshopped, zoom in on the right tail light and you can see how the corners of the grill image overlap the lip of the rear body panel.

Whether its photoshopped or not, its still garish. I also don't like the satin black inner sail panels.

I think I'll take some big red Christmas balls, hot-glue them inside a small colendar and stick 'em on the back of my 308. To see how it looks.

    The rear diffuser? Mmmmm, maybe.
The black rims - match with the diffuser. The rims I think I like.

The wheels are the most obvious clue.

What purpose would a grill provide though? Venting your luggage? ;)

And if you were going to do that why not more subtle like the 355/360 cars with the rear challenge grill? The tail lights are horrid.

But hey like I always say, if it's your car and that's what you want, go for it. You have to live with it not me. :)

To despoil art is vile and vulgar.

The good thing about it is that it is photo shopped, no 308s were harmed in the making of it. So go ahead and redesign it all you want, so long as it's just photo shop!

Diaper is the only thing that needs attention. If it were more smothly integrated below the bumper on a real 308 the rest would be fine. Think 288 GTO without the flares and side vents. No reason to make a 348 out of it.

I like it. If it was real and I met the guy that did it I would give him a high five. Sameness is boring. I like the guys that invent and mix it up. Too bad it is not real.
