I guess you're implying there's photo treatment there. Honestly I'm not sure I've seen any Grigio Ferro live, but sometimes in pictures it has that "something" so special visible here... Hence, I guess, the greatness of this shade... Thus, I can't be sure but dare to suggest there's not a lot of manipulation in it? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have done extensive research on Grigio Ferro 790 and there have been three versions according to PPG paints. 1. 2007 - No.1 Shade 2. 2010 - Redder Face/Lighter Flock 3. 2015 - Special Shade – Lighter, Bluer
Here are a few pics I took with my iPhone of a 2015 FF in Grigio Ferro 790. It was about 9am on a VERY dull damp day in the South East of England. The photos are exactly as i took them, no enhancement. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here a some of a 2015 La Ferrari in Ferro 790 next to a Silverstone Cali. Again no enhancement but it was a sunny day but with some haze. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's super interesting, thank you. Known to happen similar to some other colours, too. Sometimes they bother to add "Nuovo" or other distinctive tag to the name of the paint, but when they don't it's just annoying... same sticker name and different shade after all!
What really bothers me in this picture is the color-difference between bonnet and bumper. Gesendet von meinem D6603 mit Tapatalk
Oh, yes, that usually bothers me big, big time, but that should make for its own multi-page thread discussion!
Thats the reason I did the research. I have an F12 on order and wanted the car to be 'Nuovo' Grigio Ferro so i wanted to know exactly when the 'Nuovo' became Nuovo! Annoyingly they all have the same paint sticker 'Grigio Ferro 790'. I guess they can't call it Nuovo on the sticker as it it will become outdated but it would help if they changed the number so say 790/1 790/2 790/3 etc.. The other issue is that you can go to your dealer and look at the Ferro 790 paint sample and it will likely be the old version which doesn't help!
The new version of Grigio Ferro showed up on the Lusso back in February this year. It looks a bit lighter and the brown tone to the shade has become blue. You can see there are lots of pictures of Nuovo Grigio Ferro Met. including some by Marcel in the Lusso picture thread here. Maybe Marcel took a picture of the paint sticker though it wasn't included in the Lusso pictures he shared. The old Ferro looked perfect in those LaFerrari pictures above in post #4255...
Thank you very much for posting something that I wanted to see since a long time. Silverstone and Ferro side by side under clear lightening conditions. As the Guru of the Grey Ferrari Loving Sect, my heart goes to Silverstone. Now I need to see Canna di fucile Vs. Silverstone in the same conditions.
Last one I saw was about 950k, as best as I can recall. Although asking price isn't necessarily what the actual market will pay Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm glad it helps. Believe me, as a relative newbie here, I am competing with you for Grigio Guru status, it has become a bit of an obsession!
Ahahah no need to compete, all together worshiping the greatest color ever for a Front engined V12 ferrari ! ----------------------------------- Clean look https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/e35/15048252_348890338809872_4413858454679060480_n.jpg?ig_cache_key=MTM4OTM0Mjc0MjU4NDU4NTg4OA%3D%3D.2?dl=1

It looks like Pozzi with color matching exterior carbon...
I think its more likely Blu America. Pozzi doesn't flare up with yellow green like that (2nd picture). Either way, the car looks good!
Agree on the colour, it looks awesome! Many will not agree but the contrast of light wheels and calipers with dark body is the icing on this cake. This wouldn't be half as great with black wheels!
