So DeeGee's "358" challenge car was raced in 1996 as #11 James Place for Motor Imports out of Texas. The last year the 348's raced in the series. I show it as a factory challenge car. It has a yellow painted strip across the front bumper. I do not see it racing in the series in '94 nor '95. James Place raced for Ferrari of Washington in an F355 challenge in'97 and for Wide World of cars in '98. Both also # 11 but in an F355 challenge. Jim Place took 2nd Place for the 348's at Montreal in 1996. Robb, what year was the 348 Challenge series first contested in the US? Do you have a list of venues from that year? Trying to figure out when I first saw those cars.
I witnessed the challenge race in Montreal, 1997, was and still am shocked at how fast and aggressive these races were! Thanks for the posting btw.
