Since Oktoberfest is actually in September, I guess Pumpkin is in for October. :)

Interesting selection, especially the one with a cork. Let us know how they taste.

Enjoy, and safe travels to you.

People are so ridiculous. Craft beer is just that, CRAFT BEER. There is no set standards, other than the anal purists that like to poop on everyone's parade about everything in life.

I enjoyed the sours I had.

Yeah, the hilarity of craft beer snobs.

    Local and surprisingly good.
Lately I've been calling Craft Beer "Crap Beer". It's like no one tries, beer is so popular they just make **** and it gets consumed. But this was actually good.

Sadly, Karbach was swallowed up by Budweiser. :(

I meant to post something here awhile back.. just stumbled (ha) back in..

I've got a Stone Delicious IPA going at the moment that is okay.. but the best IPA I have had recently was actually home brewed by a friend. Wholey crisp/fresh!!!

As of late- I have had a taste for stouts. Topping that list is Coffee Milk Stout, also by stone but most notable is a bit of a limited run by Resurgence, a Sponge Candy Stout. NOW- Resurgence is local to me (Buffalo) and I think Sponge Candy is as well, so good luck trying to find it elsewhere- But FWIW, it is incredible.

I agree, lots of creative labeling.

Curious though, I see many that come in cans. Back in my day, canned beer was the last thing you bought if looking for taste. Granted, a keg is really just a big can (think on-tap).

    So, how's canned beer nowadays?

I prefer canned over bottled - of course fresh tapped draft is best :)

    Another local surprise:

I grabbed six of the Bourbon County Stout and two of the Barleywine. Do these make it that far south? It's a Black Friday tradition for me and apparently the rest of the Chicago area folk.

We are finishing a remodel and put a Kegerator in our kitchen. We tapped a keg of Copperpoint Witness for Thanksgiving. It's a Belgian Wit. Awesome beer and we are loving having the tap right there.

I'm not sure about those particular styles, but Goose Island is in fact down here and it seems to be fairly popular.
