I remember the year[Ssssss] project of making a 12 cylinder into a 8 cylinder bay from a reclaimed TR...nice read...many excuses but like above said.....dreams are seldom realized in on our clock.

And, do hope he pulls it off...just for the abilities alone...don't even care if it blows up.

    You're definitely right.

But as shown, the engine alone fits. But not the engine with the T5.

That whole firewall is going to need to be modified. And it's really going to intrude on passenger space.

If you can get a bucket list item when it pops up - gotta do it!!

Good to hear you are still thinking about the 348 project though!! I missed it when you started so this question may be a bit late... but I was wondering why you wouldn't use the 348 transaxle rather than go with an unrelated gearbox (nothing wrong with the T5)? Would it be possible to essentially "split" the complete 348 drivetrain to put the motor at the front and gearbox at the back (the clutch location is an issue but I'm sure it could be resolved)?

    Just a thought :)

All the very best with the project and look forward to hearing when you get back into it!

I guess the Bimota is a pretty good excuse...
