Yep, if I recall right he needed a few new panels after hitting a wall after losing it. No big deal with a racing car really.

Today I found this treasure trove of motorsport (and some Ferrari road car) images in this blog archive of Autosprint scans from each year of the 1970s, with some 80s and 90s material as well. Apologies in advance to anyone who has been using this site to stump fellow FChatters in this thread and others...

A rather grainy picture of a Ferrari 250 Tour de France (the chassis number of which I do not now recall) taken behind the scenes on a photo shoot at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, in the late 1990s.

Good work, chaps. 365 not 330 as SOHC? 330P2 is a 4 cam.

It was raced at Daytona with a tipo 330 engine.

Is it possible it was first tested with a tipo 275 engine ??

I am sure you know the P2 works cars had (DOHC) 4 cam engines. Customer P2s had 365 (SOHC) 2 cam engines. 0826 could have been born as a 275 P2, which had a (DOHC) 4 cam engine, then as you say it was raced at Daytona as a 330 which, in a P2, would have been a (DOHC) 4 cam engine. It was then loaned to Maranello Concessionaires as a works 275 P2 for Graham Hill and Jackie Stewart to race at the Nurburgring 1000km and then sold to Maranello Concessionaires as a customer 365 P2 with the SOHC engine.

Definitely a SOHC engine in Chris's picture. See pics below. First pic is of 330P2 0826 at Daytona 1965 with 4 cam engine. Don't know which 365P2 is in the pic at Daytona 1966 but you can see it has SOHC 2 cam engine. Pics Revs Inst.

I believe it to be 0838. It was the only car with mirror in this location on the day.

Cyril – not sure if you are just making that statement or trying to say that my comment was not correct?
