Please start a thread on this once you reveal it to them. Pics/videos will help too. When I was at that age we didn't have the space for multiple cars and my desire to wrench a bit didn't start until I was in my early 20s actually.

The best reason I've ever heard of to buy a Ferrari. Brilliant, I only wish I could see your children's faces on Christmas morning. Brilliant :)

:D I often think that. I'm sure playing golf at an exclusive club and snorting coke at the same time would have took up less time and money than a bloomin Ferrari!.

:D Brilliantly put and I quite agree :p. Same here though I've waited until 52 for a 360. Well there were others to try first :)

    59. Money from my "Ferrari Fund" savings account which I started when I was 10 with money from mowing lawns. It took me 49 years but it's paid for.

Sadly, I spent all my cash on racing.
At 41, I finally bought a yellow 512BB, the poster of which resided next to Farrah Fawcett.
Cops followed me everywhere in CT whilst I drove Mr. yellow-bellied sap sucker in 2nd gear to the market then down the Merritt Pkwy.
One officer asked: "Sir, this car is too yellow, too loud, and too fast, is it possible you could pull your head outta yer butt for one minute and slow down?"
    "Nope." I replied, shrugging.
    "Get outta the car sir."

Age 46 as the fulfillment of a dream since I was 12 years old and reveling in the Road and Track stories about LeMans in the 60's and the 275 GTB/4 NART spyder on the cover (which I still have. The magazine that is, not the car! :D ).

I'm "between Ferraris" now but am working on fixing that problem now that my daughters are out of college.

If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up. ;)

    Hi,

Two years ago, also at 45. A 456 GT. Own money.

Almost 20 years after I bought my 1st car, at 26. It was a 1966 E-type 2+2, but the 250 GT/E was an option back then. 14 years ago was very close to buying a 356 GT 2+2, a 308 GTS or a 365 GTC/4 but bought a 1950 convertible Jaguar MKV instead.

So 1st F-car at 45, I wish I had done it earlier, but better late than never. :)

    Cheers,

    Pekka T.
    Fin.
