Fantastic shots, that Citroen is crazy. What is the story with the Porsche 906's?

Wish I knew. These are just pics I grab as I run across them. I just figured I would put them on here so others don't have to hunt. Glad you enjoyed them!

Those 'homemade' customs are the bomb. The school bus, camper up front, hauler in the rear, brilliant.

Some drool worthy setups too. Great photos!

The 1959 Chevy Auto World rig has to belong to Oscar Koveleski. The Scuderia Lancia is my pick of the bunch.

    thanks for sharing.
I really dig what you have shown us.

The Don Prudhomme Txporter is / was less than 1/2 mile from where I work and the #15 Mustang transporter was seen around here many times in 2014 / 2015 when Les W owned it.

    Cheers

Great thread, thanks. When built our race car a bunch of years I started looking around for a car hauler. I ran across a converted GMC motorhome with a narrow 911 in the back. We exchanged a few emails but unfortunately ours was too wide to fit. The photo is of a typical conversion. The second shot is a Mercedes flat bed. For some reason I still want a car hauler even though we don't race any longer.
To keep my car interests going I started building custom chassis rc10 cars. When I ran across the Mercedes car hauler I had to build one. We'd also had gone to Bonneville which inspired me to build a VW bus salt flats racer. The bed raises & lowers through a screw drive. Hard to see, but the rear fenders rotate forward when lowered.

It is not a real race transporter for cars but it is the offical PORSCHE - History-Race-Tea bus which was on every race with equipment, spare parts and documents on board.

    Porsche Rennteam-Fahrzeug - Vintage Porsche - Carpassion.com

Not in best condition (know that it is for sale for resto) but complete original.

Great thread. Here is one that combines my two loves, Land Rovers and racing cars. Knowing how these old Landys handle I would hate to see this going round a sharp bend or changing lane in a hurry !!! lol
